Made a mistake in LG diagramming that thankfully cost me only 2 questions--but it could be much worse.

I guess for many of us, mental prep is even more important than drilling at this point. Still trying to figure out the best mental equilibrium to stay 100% focused and sharp throughout the actual test.
Spend the next couple of weeks to figure out your groove. For me, I do best about 2 days after a day off, with a light LG warm up and some real light food. So I'll probably take Friday the 9th to just relax, PT Saturday & review Sunday w/ some drilling. Probably do a light warm up on the morning of the test.

Also keep track of what you eat/drink, caffeine levels, sleep patterns, etc. This all really does matter.

TCR. Although I would caution against drastically adjusting your routine too.

Got a 163 last night after 165, 166, 168 in previous 3

Still missing double digit LGs of course, but more RC and LR missed than usual.

I wasn't sure how people managed to do this either in the past...then I read through the Trainer and started reading Q stems before the stimulus. Now I'm pretty consistently at 15 in 15 with 20 minutes left for the last 10 or 11.

Highly encourage stem before stim
This x100. Stem before Stim lets you know ahead of time how exactly you should read the stim (whether for structure, flaws, or combination).
I don't understand how anybody could see stim first as the better option. I took a while to transition over because so many tutors advocate stim first but it really doesn't compare imo.

PT 71:

LR1: -2
LG: -1 (Read a could be true as a must be true...)
LR2: -1
RC: -5

174

Really generous curve. I am finding that having RC just kills me. I average -2 or less when RC is before the break, and approach -4 after.

God even if I get that coveted 75-90k from Chicago I'll still be 120-150k in the hole debt-wise. Maybe I should up my target score to 175. Do you guys think 4.0/172 and 4.0/175 differ much in terms of money at CCN?

The last thing I want is to get 4.0/170 and only get 45k and have to either pay 200k in loans to go to my dream school.

Probably a bit, aim for 175 anyway.

4.0/170 doesn't get you harvard I don't think. And since my goal is Chicago biglaw I don't think going to harvard would be very advantageous over Chi.

CHI LOVES that 4.0 GPA. H you'll probably need a 172 to have a decent shot. A 174 is a basically a lock at H.

Just thought I'd share for those of you who do have a shot at Yale and need an extra boost of motivation this week. Asha is queen.
The fact that a former FBI agent will be reading my application is intimidating as hell.
Yo. I literally met one of her sorority sisters from Princeton this evening at a music show. It was the weirdest 'small world' moment ever. Started talking with this random couple sitting next to me and they asked what I was in town for and that's how the LSAT/law school came up. That brought up career goals, which brought up FBI. Then the lady was like 'I went to school at Princeton with someone named Asha who worked for them...'

I pulled up her picture and the lady was like YES! THAT'S HER!.   I think I've figured out my Yale250 topic

Ehh, I don't think this is true. If you look at the spreadsheet for H admissions, it looks like 170 was the score floor for high GPA non-URM applicants to get JS1s this year. I think 4.0/170 gets you a JS1, and probably gets you a good shot at being in unless you have absolutely nothing interesting about yourself. I also have a buddy who got in with 171/3.6x this year. Anecdotal I know, but I think 170 really is the magic number if you've got a solid application in other areas.

I'm in the same boat. I have hit my best scores when taking on Wednesdays after a two day break, and have had my worst scores on Sundays after only a 1 day break.

As such, I'm planning on taking PT 78 on Friday the 9th and then chilling for the most part over the weekend with a couple of easy LR questions and games

My ideal order is LR, RC, LG, LR. Having RC last sucks.

I didn't, the sheet said "no writing utensil not provided by the lsac" didn't feel like tossing them if I had bad proctors.

I guess I can bum one from someone

Mannnnn, I am so frustrated. Took PT 73 today and got a 169. That's three in a row. All three times, I've been really tired, but that's not an excuse. I'm getting so many more wrong in reading comp than I should be and a freaking -4 in LG. This is driving me insane. Just let me stay in the 170s!!
