Dropping 25 pounds for 20-something guys isn't that hard, right? I mean, you still get to eat 2000 calories a day. Do that + exercise for like 5 months and you're there.dj9i27 wrote:ehh don't worry bout it, the only reason why it's cutting time is because I'm 215 and need to get to 185/190. and I want pizza or chicken wings so bad, soooooo bad.Mikey wrote:ok cooldj9i27 wrote: I mean, technically you could. I'm having pizza as we speak (type??) and I will not be burning any calories today so there's that
BTW is "cutting" a bodybuilding-specific term or a more general fitness term?

I love bodybuilding.com! Glad it made its way over to TLS! JK I'm into powerlifting so this is great stuff. Good luck with all these cuts for spring. Sounds miserable.

Re: The Official June 2017 Study Group
Just took the June 2007 test for my diagnostic score and got 157
LG: -7
LR: -6, -7
RC -6
Aiming for 170+ this June and praying that I have enough time to study and get my initial scores up. What has everyone else's diagnostic score been?
Also, damn, LG are intense, I'm going to have to do a ton of drills to get used to the time constraints!

Debating whether to go out tonight or stay home and study. I kinda feel like shit though so "studying" would probably just turn into binge watching Netflix. Happy Friday the 13th y'all lol.

That's the way I'm leaning. I can tell I'm going to be unproductive af if I stay home. The bars here all have shit drink deals on Friday nights tho so imma be ballin' on a budget.dj9i27 wrote:Cutting is a colloquialism among the bodybuilding community, pretty much there are two seasons: Bulking and cutting. I went on a heavy bulk for ~5 months and went from 185-213.6 my goal is to shred down to 195-0 in 3ish months.dm1683 wrote: Dropping 25 pounds for 20-something guys isn't that hard, right? Git ur powerliftin' self outta here, we don't take kindly to your kind. jk, I tried to incorporate powerlifting into my bulk but took a trip to snap city and was like, "noooo I like 4-6 reps being heavy for me."LawLivesMatter wrote:I love bodybuilding.com! Wow I dislike conditional reasoning. It's not really an issue now, but I feel like it will be once I start doing timed stuff. Guess I'll have to spend extra time on it.
Also, kudos to all of you doing the whole exercise/fitness thing. I should probably get into that. Someday.

I think I peaked too early on LG. Maybe I should try tackling them in a different way

Oh I totally agree man, I would burn out really quick if I went all out so far from test day. My plans ended up falling through though so I went to the movies on campus instead. It was refreshing to get out of the house and forget about the LSAT for a little while.dj9i27 wrote:Dude, we all have to let loose every now and again. I think doing what I did for September and locking yourself in a goddamn room for 4 months isolating everything is bad like 2 or 3 times a month of going to bars won't hurt that much imo. If it were a month from the test my philosophy may be different.blackmamba8 wrote: That's the way I'm leaning. I can tell I'm going to be unproductive af if I stay home. Glad to see there are other people that can take UG/Work/LSATs light enough to get a good grade/score and still have a good time. My first couple years I was big into partying... then my next two years I was a complete bookworm. I took a semester off, and finally in my last semester I realize there is such a thing as "work/life balance". Hope even though I am a first time LSAT'er and recent TLS'er this helps some people, as I truly feel this is essential to sustainable success. Don't take yourself too seriously, but also get your $h!t don.

I hope you're right (about the easy part, not the confusion).dj9i27 wrote:Conditional reasoning gets easier as time goes on, the older ones (PT <20) are insanely confusing to me.ThatOneAfrican wrote:Wow I dislike conditional reasoning. I think -6 and -7 are great starting point for LR. And if it makes you feel any better, June 2007 has a harsh curve AND your -6 RC is what some people spend tons of time to get to. You're not in such a bad spot!thazel wrote:That's good to hear - hopefully I can improve on the other sections too!dj9i27 wrote:157 is a good PT, think about it the average score is a 155(?) and it sounds weird but it is good that you did bad on games they are the easiest to improve on. keep at it!thazel wrote:Just took the June 2007 test for my diagnostic score and got 157

Lol im cutting from 215ish too. I had a nice cheat meal last night consisting of Chicken Wings and some Fries. God bless Leg Days and the ability to splurge a little bitdj9i27 wrote:ehh don't worry bout it, the only reason why it's cutting time is because I'm 215 and need to get to 185/190. and I want pizza or chicken wings so bad, soooooo bad.Mikey wrote:ok cooldj9i27 wrote: I mean, technically you could. Do you Carb cycle when you cut? I don't necessarily carb cycle but on leg day I will eat more carbs earlier in the day to help with that.dj9i27 wrote:Heavy leg days have became a goddamn struggle. like tomorrow is supposed to be 5x5 with 345 but at a calorie deficit I don't know how that is going to go for me. Might just AMRAP with 225.jagerbom79 wrote:Lol im cutting from 215ish too. I had a nice cheat meal last night consisting of Chicken Wings and some Fries. Yeah in the past I have gone lower carbs, but right now with studying so much etc I need to eneergy so ive upped my carbs and figured it will just take slightly longer to cut.dj9i27 wrote:kinda, I try to keep everything consistent and eat from 100-125 carbs a day; I know that is kind of a lot for a cut but I won't have any goddamn energy under that. I eat probably half of that before a morning lifting session (oatmeal and a low carb protein bar) so I have energy but I'm pretty drained during my nightly cardio and ab sessions.jagerbom79 wrote: Do you Carb cycle when you cut?
