Yep this is garbage. Both Stronger and Champions by Yeezy should be up there. Any super narcissistic music is great for this test though.

Usually really dirty rap does the trick for me. But "I'm the One" is a little (much) softer but just as encouraging.

I have noticed, but it hasn't been very slow. I'm nervous as hell.
Echoing zkyggi's comment. I really want to get it over with, but it'll be awesome if they postpone the test by 2 weeks (or 3).

Has anyone experienced that when you are not mentally in the zone, you tend to make really careless mistakes when doing timed PT?

PT67 for me. My head was not in the game. It was like my 10th day in a row studying, I hadn't eaten in like 8 hours and started the test at 8 at night. Needless to say, my score showed it. The longer the test feels the worse I do. That said, I took a day off, shook it off and picked right back up at my usual scores.

Don't Stop Me Now because it's the only one of those songs I know apart from Eye of the Tiger. It does hype me up though!

Yes, which is why I have seriously changed up my routine this last month. I have shifted to more cardio, more fruits/vegetables, etc. Feeling really good when it comes to PT focus.

I've been taking mainly 4-section PTs with no break over the course of my studying and I was just thinking... if I get two RC sections, I'm gonna be so pissed.

Finally hit my target score on a PT!

PT 63:
LR 1: -0!!  :D :D
LG: -1
LR: -4
RC: -1
= 174

Extremely happy with this test and the progress I've made. Ideally this is the new normal now going forward. Finally feeling tons more confident about the test. Hoping that I continue to climb on LR in the coming weeks.

Also my hype song is Ultralight Beam by Kanye et al. Because this test necessitates prayer and a blessing for me.

Congrats! Carry those scores into the 70s PTs and you're gonna be golden.

Also I've heard that one of the original Superprep game sections was collectively the hardest of all time, but I'm not sure if I want to spend the $20 for one old section when I already have PTs 1-80.
Original Superprep B (i think it was B) was the hardest section of all time. If you can do that, you're all set.

Otherwise, the games in PT's 29-38 are much tougher than anything 50+. After finishing those and going to PT's 75-80, I just LOL at LG.

I have never read Dickens before so I might start Great Expectations or something. Although I probably should be reading non fiction I suppose. I have a copy of Simon Schama's Citizens (about the French Revolution) on my bookshelf that I have been meaning to get to.
Read Great Expectations in high school. I think it might be the least interesting book I've ever read...and I spent 6 years reading engineering textbooks
No wonder my GPA sucks, couldn't force myself to read Mechanics of Materials or Thermodynamics. Booooring.

Not the same but I have a similar problem in that I either go great on one LR (-0) and shit on the other (-4) or I split the difference and go -2/-2 or -1/-3. I've never done better than a combined LR of -3 even though I've been -1 and -0 in many sections. And the difficulty of a section doesn't matter either, oftentimes the scores are the reverse of what you'd expect!
Any pattern regarding the number of questions in the section? For some completely nonsensical reason, I always think the 26 question must be the harder one. It used to be a bigger problem, but still interesting how easy it is to psych yourself out
If it helps, the last 2 questions in a section are usually rated easy, so just use that to relax yourself?

PT B and C are hard. C has like a profiling game which has popped up on newer tests so that might be useful. I think PTs 33-38 have hard games too

Would it be weird if I called and asked

Also what do people do if they have to uber/public transport to a test center. Cuz you can't bring your phone. I'm wondering if reception would be willing to watch it but that might be a violation?

"Sapiens" is helping me with all of the prehistoric LR and some of the trickier science passages.

This is so embarrassing, but...

Whenever I have Take Me On by a-ha stuck in my head during a PT, I score over a 170.
