The Official June 2016 Study Group
Didn't see a thread for the June 2016 study group, so figured I get this started already.
Fellow June takers, What's your plan? How far are you in your prep? What materials/courses are you taking for the prep?

Are there any sources/post about what percentage of LSAT takers used TLS forum before the exam?

Checking In. I decided to withdraw December after reading peoples posts on here and the 7Sage discussion forums about their October score reports. I was not planning on applying this cycle anyways, so I figured why not be completely prepared than rushing for December?
I'll be restarting my prep in a few weeks, and should start PTing in February. My plan of attack is to redo the 7Sage curriculum (I only got through 1/3 of it prepping for December anyways) SLOWLY coupled with drilling. I am also going to complement my 7Sage LR lessons with the Trainer, use Trainer and Manhattan for RC.

I actually wrote a little post about how to effectively study for the bar using a study group. Here is the post: http://thevagabondclassroom.com/?p=142

Awesome, been looking to check in to a June 2016 forum for a while now. I have been doing very light studying over the past few months as time allows, but have definitely put more focus on grabbing a 4.0 this semester. In terms of materials, I've slowly built up inventory of just about every recommended prep book (The Bibles, Manhattan Prep's 3 guides, LSAT Trainer, along with probably half of the LSAT's released to date). I would comfortably say I'm only studying 10 hours a week currently, but I expect that number to shoot up over the next couple months. I am excited to wear this test out with ya'll and look forward to hearing about your prep.

now I'm deciding between February and june, @chicharon, if you don't mind how long did you study the material before you started PT-ing?

Re: The Official June 2016 Study Group
lol no no not because of you, February just seems so close all of a sudden. I'm just giving myself anxiety for no reason and I honestly can't see myself studying all the way til june. I'd be miserable and probably wouldn't have any friends by the end of it..chicharon wrote:Bahaha don't base your decisions on me, I had horrible study habits. This time around I'm planning on reading through the LSAT Trainer and re-reading the Manhattan Guides during the week while doing light drilling, with a PT and blind review each weekend. By blind review I mean going through every question, writing down every conclusion and premise, and reasoning out each answer. It's going to take me foreverchueca910 wrote:now I'm deciding between February and june, @chicharon, if you don't mind how long did you study the material before you started PT-ing?
I may decide to take Feb. so we will see how it goes.

Re: The Official June 2016 Study Group
Yup, I also work full time so I definitely get it. I was originally signed up for the October LSAT and started studying in july, but I rescheduled for Feb. I 've been studying on and off since then but I guess I'll see where I'm at by late December and then decide.chicharon wrote:The thing is, if you take June, you have a lot more time to spread it out. Personally, cramming a ton of drilling/PTs into 2-3 months did not work for me and I found myself falling apart more often than not from the exhaustion of balancing a full-time job with long hours, family & the SO, and the LSAT. I was thinking that it might pay off to play the long game and do a little bit each week instead.chueca910 wrote:lol no no not because of you, February just seems so close all of a sudden. Yeah, good idea. I thought along the same lines for choosing June 2016 over Feb or December. I have a similar study plan, currently going off The Trainer and Bibles, and hopefully do full PTs in Jan. Its going to be a fun ride!ngogirl12 wrote:Checking In. I decided to withdraw December after reading peoples posts on here and the 7Sage discussion forums about their October score reports. Welcome to the club! Yeap, same here, just haven't got into intense drilling part yet. I have the Bibles, Trainer, Powerscore, and 1-72 Pts (along with some Kaplan explanations), most of these passed on by a friend. Currently studying ~3 hours a day, will step it up starting next week.TexAg95 wrote:Awesome, been looking to check in to a June 2016 forum for a while now.
