No different from an offline setting, really. All classes are held via Elluminate and its quite interactive. They send you a headset so you can arrange for setup to be engaged in the class (ie you should be prepared to speak in the class).
You will usually have about two instructors in each class setting - they divide what is being taught that session (at least two topics are covered per class) and you're free to private message one instructor if you were confused about something. There is a blackboard that displays something similar to powerpoint slides, but you also get to write on the blackboard depending on how interactive your lesson for the day. You have smilie emoticons, options to click on if you have a question and answer choices (ABCDE) when the class is presented with a review question or problem set before or during class.
Overall, its a great e-learning experience and like the above OP said, try the first online session for free to see if you like the set up.
