Oh man, and RC is my weakest link... :(
It is mine as well. I did terrible on rc this past test in Oct,which is basically the whole reasson I am Retaking. If I can perfect RC, I would probably score very very high.
Arg! The RC section is annoying. Do you know what you're having problems with?

Hey everyone,

This is exactly what I'm looking for. I joined the December study group and they are very organized. Noah from MLSAT helped them set up a chat room where they meet every Tuesday to discuss strategies etc. Maybe we can get something like that!

I have the LR & LG Powerscore bibles, The Powerscore LG Workbook and I just ordered Kaplan's Mastery Practice (2009 ed). I also have PT's 1-60 on pdf's. I'm going to attempt follow Pithypike's plan. The highest I have PT'd was a 167 and the lowest was a 154 so I definitely have a lot of work to do before June.

I would be happy with 165+ on the real deal. PM me if interested! Lets do this!!

Do you think he would create a study group now for June 2012???

I highly doubt it. If you all wanted to form a weekly chat or something, why don't you just set it up on your own with tinychat?

No, not really. :) I am going to be using Dave Hall's approach to RC for my retake and hopefully this will help me identify my problems. I knew going into the Oct. LSAT that I was going to end up with probably -5 or more on RC, but I was hoping for near perfect in the other sections to reach my target score. Unfortunately, I was right about my RC prediction, but a little off in my near perfect prediction for the other sections.

After a lot of prep, I was really able to get down the other two sections. Despite the fact that I messed up a bit on test day, I am still reasonably confident with LR and LG. RC on the other hand, I simply could NOT figure out. But, I am sure you will find that as you do more and more RC you will figure it out. I think I am just a reading comp fail

I think I've decided to go ahead and take the February administration, since it doesn't matter if they don't disclose it since I hopefully won't ever have to think about the LSAT again.

Best of luck to everyone. 180.

I got the PDF's from a friend who took one of those extremely expensive Kaplan courses.

In regards to MLSAT setting up a June chat room for us I guess we would have to ask although it may be a little too early. The tinychat idea sounds cool tho.

Will be purchasing PowerScore Logic Games and LR in January along with more PT's. Let's do this!

Count me in! I'm also doing the 7 month plan. I think it may end up being a little overkill with the suggested 10-15 hours/week for 7 months, so I might tone it down a little until June gets closer. I'm going to start studying officially as soon as I finish my last undergrad paper ever. Graduating on December 9th :D

I'm shooting for YHS (mostly H), so I'd like to get as close to 180 as possible. I definitely won't be taking it until my PT average is in that range. I'm applying from a large TTT public with a 3.85 GPA (as per online calculator, it's a 3.78 without A+ grades counted), and unimpressive softs. I know everyone says softs/ugrad school don't matter but I want to outshine my mediocre background as much as possible.

Cold diagnostic was a 163 (-2 LG, -10 LR, -5 RC).

Decided to stick with June, because I don't want to force myself to get through a ton of prep before Feb. My GPA sucks and I need to make sure I get 4.0s this year.

Kind of ticked it's not in the morning though; I definitely prefer morning tests, especially on cold/rainy mornings... don't know why... Just used to it I guess.

I'd be up for an avatar!

Splitter friends :). That's what I'm hoping for...4.0s...

7 month LSAT BLOG plan, right? Is anyone else using this who wants to join in on our studyin'? I'm beginning the plan November 14th, a Monday. Want to coordinate with me and start then as well? It is roughly 7 months to the day of the exam!

I'm in. I've decided that another year off to build my resume and kill the June LSAT is worth it. My goal is as close to 180 as I can get.

Yeah! I totally understand. I rather wait another year and get a high score and go to a good school then to take it now and go to a mediocre school.

We provide a syllabus and questions to discuss each session. Mostly leaders are well-prepared facilitators of the group discussion.

Hey guys, checking in for the June Study Group!

Cold Diagnostic of 157; here's the breakdown: (-2 LG) (-15 LR) (-9 RC)

Hope everyone's ready to put in the work for 180! :D

With a 3.3x (thanks hard sciences), a 180 would be niceeeeeee

Edit 1: Attended a Tier 1 University. Uncle Sam is going to pick up the tab for Law School so I'm trying to make the most of it.

Splitter Friends avatars sound sweet!

Hello All,

I'd like to join in for the June study group, but I'm not really sure what being a part of a study group entails (can anyone fill me in?).

I've hit in the low-mid 160's on 4 PTs, and I would certainly like to reach 180. My GPA is a 4.0 right now, so I'd like to get a score that opens as many doors as possible. I've been studying for about 2 months so far.

Hi guys. I'm looking through master the lsat book for supplement practice and I wanted to know what you guys think about a question in one of the drills. I will change it up a little for copyright reasons??? anyway.. to be in a nightclub, a person under 21 must be accompanied by someone who is 21 or older. Which sentence if any is valid? a. Pam who is 18 can be in the nightclub by herself b. darlene who is 75 could be in the nightclub by herself. well i know a. is invalid, but what about b?

Why can't Darlene be in the nightclub by herself? She's older than 21. Maybe there's some other rule that forbids it, but if all we are applying is the 21 and under rule, it seems possible to me. I get the sense there's more to this question...

in on this. I was planning on taking it in December but I am most likely going to withdraw since i am feeling underprepared- unfortunately I did not get to join the December study group. I have been studying for the past three months.. intensively for a month (took an online powerscore course) and I have not even started drilling RC passages and have barely been drilling the games. I am PTing around 157 and feel like I have A LOT of room for improvement.

I am starting to see my mistakes but I have not readily been able to fix them so that I can apply them to future questions. I struggle long LR stimuli with conditional reasoning but I think I can improve this with further practicing - I hate diagramming the conditional reasoning, but I think I my have to for the long questions. The must be true questions are my worst ones and the assumption and flaw questions are my strongest.

Starting December 5th I will begin Pithypikes study guide with a few modifications to suit my own personal strengths and weaknesses.

I have a multitude of preptests and material to study with from powerscore so I don't think I will end up running out by June.

My main goal is to learn the patterns in the LR question types and answer choices so that I will not take long on analyzing the stimulus for wordy questions. My goal score is a 170+ and I think it is completely doable with the time I have from now till June now that I know how intensively I need to study.

Anyways good to be here and looking forward to working with you guys
