So I sat down and this neck beard beside me:

Neck beard: Do you like my watch?
Me: sure
NB: well it’s a women’s watch ha ha
Me: uh nice you hit up Claire’s?
*proctor tells us we can drink our water as long as it’s under our desks*
I’m drinking out of a clear rubbermade
NB: hey they’re gonna take your water bottle and kick you out ha ha
Me: ...
NB: nah I’m just trolling you man I don’t actually know but imagine you had the answers in the bottle

Wtf?

So pissed I didn't hear any nonsense at my testing center. Just one kid tell his friend he's retaking cause he got a 164 last time and his friend goes damn thats pretty bad. Fucking overachievers lol

Proctor: Once I say pencils down you can’t continue bubbling answers or look back at answers to check them.

Guy in Front Row: So you mean to tell me I can’t go back and check my answers or bubble in answers that I may have not got the chance to get to?

Like are you for real

I would bet money that friend is just bluffing, and either: (1) PTs at lower than 164 but is trying to look good or (2) has no idea how good or bad 164 is.

I mean, there are such things as JSDs. Those are phds in law. I dont know if a JSD requires an LSAT for admittance, but Yale, Duke, and Berkeley off the top of my head have such programs.

This girl came in pushing 8:30 and the girl at the front asked her if she had her phone:
"Oh shit, I'm going to run and put this in my car omg ugh"
*comes back and is asked for ID*
"A darn it, I left it in the car! I'm so unprepared, I was just studying!"
Kinda felt bad for her but everyone in the testing center was looking around with smirks.

A different girl walked in at 9:00 and the proctor let her in because we were still getting through the instructions:
"I could've sworn the website used to say 9!"

By far my favorite thread.

Some students showed their phone to the proctor when they were checking our ziplock bags and asked if they could keep it with them during the exam.

On Saturday I was the second person in the lobby. When I got there the proctors were having a conversation with a kid who didn't have his ticket, and from what I could decipher, didn't realize he needed one? I walked by and the proctors asked me if I had my ticket (yes, duh) and looked it over with the kid to show him what it looked like.
"Oh, yeah. I tried to print that out yesterday but nothing came out of the printer. Do you have a mac or pc?"

"P.C."

"Oh, I have a mac, that's probably why it never printed.."

The proctors told him he could run to the library and try to print it out and make it in time, (I was probably 30mins early at this point) but he never made it and I didn't see him taking the test.

I mean, I understand that you may have difficulties printing or getting your ticket, but if it doesn't print you don't just give up and show up to the test without one. Especially considering he said he tried to print it and the printing window just never came up.

If at first you don't succeed... LOL

But honestly, it surprises me how many people actually show up to the lsat unprepared or with a complete disregard for the rules.

I had one person next to me, who was very nice, try to convince me that the all the LSAT sections are designed so as not to be finished. She told me her strategy was to read all the games and then choose the ones she did and didn't want to do. I had never heard that before. . .

It's an episode from The Simpsons where Homer discovers a secret plan to move the Springfield Isotopes softball team to Albuquerque.

Longtime lurker, first time LSAT-taker. As students were filing back in from the break, people were talking about how the LSAT compares to the GMAT and GRE. Someone said that YLS and HLS don't even accept the LSAT anymore, and require the GRE for admission.

Later a guy was talking to me about how he thinks he did and said that most schools don't care about your LSAT score, it's just a "failsafe" in case your GPA is bad. He also said the LSAC designs the test knowing you're not going to be able to answer every problem. I didn't say anything though because he was clearly trying to be optimistic about his performance, and nobody needs some asshole being like "oh yeah well if you guessed on a single question or have a PT average <170 you need to retake!" as they're walking out of the test lol.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
