Is there anywhere I can go and buy LSAC preptests?

Post by 77to101 » Fri Jan 08, 2010 11:06 pm

I know amazon.com and LSAC.org sells them and craigslist is an option, but I'd like to know if there's anywhere where I can just buy them instead of dealing with waiting for shipping, etc. Does borders or any type of bookstore carry them? I'm looking for the recent ones, PT 50+. I'm in LA, btw. Thanks!

No.

There are some websites that sell .pdf versions, though, but I don't have the links.

I think the bookstores near my university carry them, so you might check stores where they'd expect high sales volumes -- e.g. near college campuses.

saw some at my border's today. didn't check which ones though. i know sometimes Barnes and Noble has free shipping on orders of more than $25, and you get it in like 2-3 days. I ordered mine like that.

LA as in Los Angeles (opposed to Louisianna) I presume? I have obtained various PT's 50+ at both Barnes and Nobles and Borders. B&N also had all 3 of the powerscore bilbles. In Glendale, there's a Borders and B&N within a quarter of a mile of each other. (Galleria and The Americana) You can go online and check for store availability.

I have noticed a few at almost every Borders I have been to, as recent as PT56. There aren't many though, so I suggest doing what the previous poster said, which is to just try and get a deal on shipping and order a bunch of them (you need to do a bunch anyway so, no reason not to).

lsac.org had a super cheap rush deal and they arrived in 2 days for some nominal fee. So nominal, I've forgotten! But you have to call them about it. They make it really easy.

At a few schools the pre-law advisor has some tests on hand and will give them to you free of charge. It's worth a shot.
