take one PT diagnostic before bibles?
Do people advise taking one practice test before starting on the bibles, etc. I am just scared I won't do well on the logic games (not sure just seems I could use some practice on them), but maybe its the best way to gauge exactly what you need to study?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I did - I enjoy seeing my progress. I didn't put a lot of stock into my diagnostic other than the # and basically said to myself okay let the work begin. Its been a good motivator for me.

Do it. It will give you a sense of the necessity of speed and other considerations that will help you understand the Bible's strategy.

I didn't do it, but kinda whish I did in order to track my progress. On the whole though, it doesn't really matter.

Me too just for curiosity's sake. But I think its worthless as a diagnostic.Ragged wrote:I didn't do it, but kinda whish I did in order to track my progress. On the whole though, it doesn't really matter.

Opposite for me - it scared me into studying and taking this thing seriously. Reality bites I guess.Sauer Grapes wrote:This is my answer.Ragged wrote:I didn't do it, but kinda whish I did in order to track my progress. On the whole though, it doesn't really matter.
Of course, I also may have gotten rather discouraged had I done it.

I don't think it really matters. A diagnostic before any studying doesn't really tell you anything. a 145 could easily jump to 160 after spending an hour learning how to diagram games. I'd say skim the books, look at some questions, then do a PT. Then you'll be familiar with the books when you go back and re-read in detail.
Just my opinion though. I found my initial diagnostic to be a waste of a good PT that would have come in handy later.

Yeah don't let it discourage you. my diagnostic was 13 pts. lower than my last pt score and I haven't even begun hardcore study mode yet, lol.

Re: take one PT diagnostic before bibles?
I was too scared to take a pt before starting the bibles, yet I finally buckled down and did it. Although I didn't get the score I was anticipating (151), I have now made significant progress from just reading half the lg bible. My advice is to take a pt and start the bibles immediately, it will only show that the LSAT can be deciphered!

yeah i took one, did well on everything but the LG, and reading the bible has been super helpful.
