There is no point in trying to start a study group with people from the internet because 1) you don't know if they're going to be in your section, 2) you don't know if you'll actually enjoy them or even tolerate them, and 3) you're months away from having anything to study.

There is no point in trying to set up a study group with people who you meet on the internet in May of your 0L summer.
1. You don't know if they'll be in your section/have your professors and different professors teach the material very differently.
2. You don't know if you'll like or even tolerate these people in person.
3. You don't have anything to study for several months.
Just spend the summer clearing your head. You don't have anything to prepare. It doesn't matter in the slightest if you are "prepared" (in quotes because you won't be prepared no matter what you do) on the first day of class, all that matters is that you engage with the material throughout the semester and are able to apply the material on the day of the final. This is your last summer before law school, don't waste it burning yourself out and setting yourself up to fail.

Awesome! I started working on a set of "Examples and Explanations" books and have looked into how to brief a case. Want to exchange emails and set something up?lillelord wrote:Yessir, just paid deposit and trying to get as much 1L prep done in these last few months of 0L as possible.ChiefofState wrote:Hey all, is anyone is looking to start a study group for 1L?

It puts my mind at ease to feel like I did something during the summer. If you're not interested in joining a study group this summer do you want to make one with us in the fall?bitter_melon wrote:There is no point in trying to set up a study group with people who you meet on the internet in May of your 0L summer.
