Law School Tier List Question

What site do people usually use to see a law school tier list breakdown?

I often hear Tier 1, 2, and 3 used to describe schools.
Is this based off US news as well or is there a different list somewhere?
I'm sorry if this is sort of a basic question.

It's unofficial terminology thrown around on here.

T1 generally refers to schools ranked 20-50 in USNWR. T2 is 50-100. T3 is anything below that which still technically qualifies as a law school. T4 are flat-out scams.

I'd point out that the tier list often isn't terribly meaningful when you get down the differences between 1/2 or 2/3. There's a lot of volatility in USNWR after the top 20 or so schools. 20-30 spot jumps within a short period aren't uncommon While a school ranked in the 20s will consistently be significantly higher in quality than a T4 school, the difference between a school at the bottom of the second tier and the top of the third generally isn't meaningful. After the top 20-30 schools or so, it's not really useful at all to compare schools in totally different parts of the country- they generally don't compete. If you are looking outside top schools, look at how schools compare within the part of the country where you plan to practice.
