Withdrawal from a clas = Addendum?

I withdrew from a class once during my junior year. It shows up on my transcript as a withdrawal (because I withdrew late in the semester). Should I explain this in an addendum or is it fine?

I don't think one W is anything to write about. I have one myself, but didn't write one. If it's a minor aberration, no need to draw attention to it imo.

If it occurred in an uncharacteristically bad semester/quarter, though, then perhaps that could be given context.

Only If it is something like a WF or negatively impacts you. Withdraws are common.

What's a WF? For information: I was at 15 hours, then was only at 12 after withdrawing. My grades that semester were 3 A's and 1 A-.

A "WF" would be a withdrawal that counted as a failing grade. Doesn't sound like that's your situation.
