what? You're a URM with 165ish and 3.88 and you didn't get *any* money from Duke/Mich/etc??
Something seems off here. Did you apply super late? Is there something wrong with your app?

I applied late January, early February (like feb 9th or so).mrgstephe wrote:what? You're a URM with 165ish and 3.88 and you didn't get *any* money from Duke/Mich/etc??

Michigan gave me <30k, Duke hasn't sent me scholarship information yet. Also, long story short, I messed up my scholarship negotiation w Cornell since I sent them my 100k or so from t20s and scholarship negotiated before I ever received a package.

Yeah, so even if you don't retake (which I would encourage), if you apply earlier (like Sept/October, at the very least before Thanksgiving) I would expect to see a massive difference in outcome. With a URM boost, those numbers could make you competitive for a Darrow interview at Michigan, and with a slightly better score you would stand a good chance of full tuition at a number of lower T13s (and probably could get NU's ED full ride).lilitiger99 wrote:I applied late January, early February (like feb 9th or so).mrgstephe wrote:what? Re: T6/T13/T20 - June retake WL
This is a clear opportunity to reset and see where your options fall. You've underperformed on admissions, and hopefully you're willing to sit tight for a year, because applying early next year with a hopefully improved LSAT will do wonders for you. Even if you don't improve on the LSAT, your options will likely improve.
Law school isn't going anywhere. Maximize your options while simultaneously minimizing cost. It'll be a win-win for you.
