Defining "Sticker"

Post by lula43 » Tue Mar 28, 2017 5:07 pm

What defines paying sticker at a school? It is paying the entire cost of tuition through loans? Or is it paying the entire cost of attendance through loans?

Generally, it just refers to not receiving any scholarship offers from the school. If you have personal savings/parents that you don't mind screwing over, then you can "pay sticker" and not have any debt.

Sticker is the full advertised cost, without scholarship or tuition reduction or anything like that.

Paying the entire cost of attendance, regardless of payment method. You can pay sticker through a mix of loans, savings, parental support, etc. If the school isn't taking anything off the price through scholarships or need-based aid, its sticker.
