My boss stripped me of the remainig vacation days that he previously approved, saying that I hadn't earned them because I wouldn't be working long enough. This is accurate because we have a policy where your total days of the year are based on working most of the year. Yet historically the organization allows you to plan all your vacation well before you actually accrue it and where I messed up, it seems, is being honest enough to admit I am leavig in July. In response to me using sick days, he took away vacation days he previously approved, using an admittedly fair technicality to say I didn't earn them yet and wouldn't be working long enough to earn them.
Wow. He must be fun at parties.

Two weeks left.

I really wish I hadn't gotten sick twice last winter. One with the flu and once with a really nasty case of a sinus infection + strep throat. If I hadn't had to take quite a bit of time off for those, I'd just call in sick next week. Lol.

One week. June 30.

The day my law firm shuts down forever and also the day I need to hand back the keys to the apartment I've lived in for four years.

Oh God I didn't realize the firm was quitting you, that's kind of fortuitous

Indeed. Actually I wanted to quit mid-June to have some time to get out of my apartment, but they begged me to stay on so I negotiated a bonu$.

One week, then one week of vacation, then two more weeks... it simultaneously feels reallyyy far away and also really soon (because I'm scrambling to pack and move in the middle of it).

The last two weeks of funemployment have been awesome. In the time since I left, three staff members of the thirty employee office I worked for have been terminated for cause.

Glad to just have time to relax instead of dealing with HS level drama.

Movers scheduled for tomorrow.

Work ends Friday.

Eating off paper plates/using plastic utensils, sitting on camping chairs, and sleeping on an air mattress until then. Excited for the next week's hobo-meerkat experience.

My last full week of work is this week.

Movers come Saturday. Next Monday & Tuesday are paid holidays, so I'll be staying at my new place (only 2.5 hours away from where I live now). My last day is Thursday.

Seven days of work left. Wow.

This week has been hell.

Shutting down a law firm on short notice as one of the only admin employees: 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND
