Last day is in five weeks.

I've been sick the past week so wanting to quit is stronger than ever.

Putting in my two weeks this coming Monday. Net about $105 a day after tax and I leave home at 8:30am and get home at 6:30pm. I'd rather put those ten hours to better use that will actually produce considerable positive outcomes for 1L. Focusing on weight loss, typing speed, light reading, finding an apartment, planning my cross country move, getting my finances set up, and of course - chilling real fucking hard.

The only reason I even answer my phone anymore is if I'm stuck in a conversation I don't want to be in and it happens to ring, providing me a means of escape

Still nine weeks to go at my job. I am quitting on the last day of July, and telling my boss at the beginning of July.
But my company just underwent a huge structure change after some political catfights between my superiors, and it is getting more miserable by the day.

June 30th is my last day of work. Boss came in with a "Good-Idea Fairy" that popped out of the fertile ground of his mind this AM. But, it involved a project that ends mid-July.

I gave him the patented "Wellllll...I'm wrapping up at the end of June and, as much as I think that's a tremendously creative idea that my fellow professionals here would probably loooooove to be a part of, I simply cannot, in good conscience, commit myself to sheepherding it at this point and drop out half way through."

"Good point, Meerkat. Here Meerkat's coworker...here's an [Indian-food-diarrhea-filled diaper of an idea] you will need to effort for the next two months in order to get me promoted."

Zero fucks given.

I haven't read the entire thread, but how are you financing this? Savings? Trust fund?

Lol. I wish.

I actually decided to work an additional month, until the first week of July, but will still have about 7 weeks off. Dipping into savings but it's worth it. I'll have paid my July rent before I quit my job, so I only have to worry about 7 weeks of groceries/meals, my gym membership, and August rent. I'm not traveling. I have an unlimited NYC subway pass through work that will remain active, and since I'm leaving after the 1st of the month, my health insurance will be active through July 31st (you never know when you'll twist an ankle or whatever).

Last day will be at the end of July, but told my boss yesterday I'm not working Fridays come mid-June.

If I can't have the whole summer off I will at least take long weekends!

Ugh I am so done with work. I told them I was leaving back in mid April, and there is no sign that they are doing anything about a replacement. The worst part is that my boss is going on maternity leave around the same time I leave and has already pushed all of her stuff to me. I sit here on notice having to work on a Sunday because my boss is already checked out and I'm the one who's leaving for good. This is ridiculous

that time when the only reason you are looking forward to work is so you have an excuse to buy an iced coffee :x

The joy for work this week is that every time I stop in to get a cup of tea I get a $1 credit to my account.

I will say there is something freeing about realizing that I'm at a point where I'm honestly just working to save a little more money but I can definitely quit at any time so if something happens or like I'm denied a time off request I can be like "yeah no bye"

This^. I'm at the point that I'm just tried of dealing with basically any bullshit so any bizarre request / too many bad days in a row will just result in me walking out.
