Narrowed down to two schools, with BC being one of them. Hoping to make a decision after the ASD since it's my last visit of the cycle. We'll see where I land!

Nice! I wanna make it out to the ASD but flights aren't reimbursed :( I have visited the campus but wanna get a feel for the school's people. I might just suck it up and buy the flight.

That's what I had to end up doing. I told myself there was no way I could commit to a school without seeing it first and really experiencing its environment, so I bit the bullet and bought the flight. Pretty excited to be up there though, haven't been to Boston in about four years.

I'm in. Haven't sent in the deposit, but it would take a major event to change my mind.

I'll be at the ASD with a final decision coming shortly after! Looking like BC right now.

Has anyone paid their deposit yet? I'm very close to committing but am going to give myself some time to mull over my options over the next couple days.

^^^ PM'ed

Anyone start looking for housing yet? I'm trying to find something for an 8/1 move in but could possibly do 7/1 if I had to since I really do not want to do 9/1. Shoot me a PM if interested in finding something together.

I've heard if you get closer to Allston it's cheaper. I could be wrong though.

I'll look into that. As long as I'm close to a T stop I should be good. Trying not to bring my car because I don't think I can justify the cost of parking, so it's pretty imperative that I have easy access to the transit system.

I believe the B line runs through there and goes right to one of the law shuttle stops!

Does anyone have perspective on gym memberships? I know that BC memberships are $40 per month but I'm trying to see if that's worth it (definitely would not pay $40 per month for my undergrad gym) or if there are decent gyms in the Cleveland Circle area.

All the ones in Cleveland circle look expensive af. I don't want to pay the school out of principle but it's probably the best option. They have a mini gym at newton that supposedly has machines and free weights and a squat rack so that's cool.

At least with the school membership you can do intermurals and stuff.

Good point. That way I could at least postpone the days until I realize how unathletic I really am when it comes to intramural basketball and soccer.

I reached out to the financial aid office the other day because I have no idea how loan disbursements work and they said we should be getting a message about it in July. Other than that I haven't heard much at all from BC since the deposit deadline.
