The email that was just sent out got me nervous/excited all over again!
When does everyone plan on moving to Austin?

I wonder if the item is the blanket a couple people reported on the facebook page before the post was deleted?Tazewell wrote:The email that was just sent out got me nervous/excited all over again!

I'll be moving by the third week of august, so a few days at least before orientation.
Anyone else notice apartment rates going up? The rent at my apartment complex for new leases went up $200 since I signed my lease back in April. So happy I got housing done early.

Re: Texas Law c/o 2020 - Hook 'em!!! [Under New Management]
I didn't notice that but it certainly could be.
My lease starts July 20th so I think I'm going to move the big stuff in that week then be there for good after my vacation trip the first week of August. I figured since I'm paying to live there, I might as well go ahead and move in and enjoy Austin before the chaos starts.

I wish I could move in sooner but it would cost an extra $200 to move in a week early.

It was good. We had a group of c/o 2020 that went out for happy hour afterward.Torres1893 wrote:I want to go to the Houston reception on Tuesday, but I have to work. If anyone goes let me know how it was.
I'm going to put something together tonight to see if any other Houston peeps want to meet up later this summer.

What gift did they give you? We got a coffee mug (that I've never used) and I think something else I threw away. Maybe a phone charger.

Oh actually I think I got one of these. Is it orange? I swear 75% of people during OCI were carrying those things around. Pro tip: get a nice one for like $20 on Amazon so you're not doing that.amta wrote:cannibal ox wrote:What gift did they give you? It is nice, but it was a little too big for my taste. I assume it still has that inner part that's black and doesn't let it get smaller than like 2" tall because of all the material. I'm actually looking at mine right now, shoved under like 20 books and it's still 3x bigger than my black leather padfolio I got for OCI.

Got the portfolio. It's nice enough to keep some papers in, but not to tote around campus. Any other parents out there? My wife is expecting late July

I'm an alum but we did this at the beginning of 2L. There are other parents but you won't see them a ton. There will also be a couple pregnancies/children born during 2L and 3L. There was an effort during my 3L to put together a group of older students/married students/students with kids, but it didn't take off, at least not before I finished; maybe it's up and going now.Daaltaraan wrote:Got the portfolio. Anyone know when we can expect to pay for tuition? Probably when schedules are posted?
Also I saw that UT is now accepting visa cards for online payment.

Generally speaking it's about a week or two into classes that tuition is due. It was always weird that you couldn't pay by Visa, so I guess it's good that they fixed that, but keep in mind that credit card payments carry an extra fee of 2 or 3%.Torres1893 wrote:Anyone know when we can expect to pay for tuition?
