Has anyone submitted a reconsideration form before really interacting with anyone at the school? I'm trying to figure out if I should do it before I visit next week or after. After would mean I'm running really close to other offers expiring.

Anyone know when orientation is? I think it's Wednesday the 16th-18th. The apartment I'm interested in has a move in date on August 18. I'll have to pay extra if I want to move in early on the 11th.

Acceptance letter says orientation is mandatory, if you're only attending parts of it you might want to be clear on which parts are and aren't required.

Acceptance letter says orientation is mandatory, if you're only attending parts of it you might want to be clear on which parts are and aren't required.

My mistake. I don't carry my acceptance letter on me.
I'm guessing it'd be okay in circumstances such as the above (which is no longer the case so this entire thing is hypothetical) to miss a day and e-mail or call to let them know in advance. There's a difference between 1 day vs missing all 3..........

Current students what did you tell your landlord or realty company about your financial situation for your apartment application?

I have good credit (700s), but of course I'm going to have no salary. Do the realty companies know we are getting loans to pay for the apartment? I like this place and don't want to waste $200 to apply and get rejected because I'm going to write $0 for salary.

Edit: this is for one near the law school. I spoke to lease office last week when I was there so they should know my situation.

Your loans are your income. That's what my undergrad landlord told me when I was submitting my apartment application. I listed my total loan amount and things worked out fine.

Not going to lie I'm thinking about the full ride to Maurer everyday lol. I'm still hesitant to like say I'm 100% committed to Texas even though I feel like I have to go. At certain points of the day I'll be like screw it I'm going to Maurer with low debt and settle for a lower salary job, but then later I tell myself I can't just say no to UT. The job prospects and opportunities are much better at UT, but the debt to attend is frightening.

Deposited! It's still hard for me to believe this is happening. This time last year when people asked if I was going to try to go to UT for law school I would tell them that I wanted to but there was no way I was gonna get in.
