Don't know why we have to submit transcripts again. I went to schools in Asia and it's really a pain to get the transcripts.

Re: Columbia Class of 2020
Does anyone have an idea on how much financial aid is considered a strong amount? I'm very unclear on how much Columbia is willing to give. I got 60k and as someone who went to college for free because of my family's economic status, I'm pretty uneasy on taking out 200k of loans. But if it turns out that 60k is on the higher end of what Columbia will give out, that would definitely make me feel better. Otherwise, I'm considering retaking LSAT and applying next cycle.

You'd be top 25% of how much money you got including people who are getting 0$. I'd say that's pretty good. The next level up would be basically a Butler or an unnamed amount equivalent.Xenon22 wrote:Does anyone have an idea on how much financial aid is considered a strong amount? While I would love a NYC area happy hour (how many of us currently live here?) I'm going to with MrJD's suggestion for now! New poll up.MrJD2020 wrote:How about where people hope to live next year. Let's make it happen. I'm more down for an evening/night festivity rather than happy hour, though.Leliana wrote:While I would love a NYC area happy hour (how many of us currently live here?) Somewhere up by campus, or mid/downtown? I stopped in Arts & Crafts (right across from CLS) recently - it's kinda small but it's got a great vibe and they have a stellar beer lineup.Thelaw23 wrote:Let's make it happen. Wondering why more people are thinking UAH over LS housing? Does anyone any definite information on leasing rules of UAH vs. LS housing? Specifically wondering about any penalties for lease breakage, if there are any differences . Please enlighten

I did too! Really liked it. I think I'll be in there a lot...Stay-at-Home Son wrote:Somewhere up by campus, or mid/downtown? I stopped in Arts & Crafts (right across from CLS) recently - it's kinda small but it's got a great vibe and they have a stellar beer lineup.
For a different vibe, Mel's is great too. I have a friend who's a Columbia PhD student and I went there almost every weekend during football season to watch games with him haha.
The housing coordinator at ASW told me to go UAH if I wanted unfurnished housing, so that's why I'm planning on it.quigleyest wrote:Wondering why more people are thinking UAH over LS housing? I've almost never been around Morningside Heights for drinking/going out so it'll be fun exploring.
We could start it off there and then take it to other places midtown/downtown if we want to turn it up a notch.

How do you select UAH housing on the application?

There's an option. Once you pick that you're in Columbia Law School, it asks if you are applying to Law School Housing. If you're not, then you're applying into UAH.jjcorvino wrote:How do you select UAH housing on the application?
It's annoying that you can't kind of apply and prioritize both.
BTW did you know our birthdays are a day apart
