I know of someone who did PE classes during 3L, so it is possible. Not during 1L, of course.

Does anyone know Cornell's policies regarding the new Macbook Pro (with touch bar)? I heard they were banned by a bunch of bar examiners and law schools. I want to get a new laptop before starting law school and I want to make sure that I can actually use whatever one I purchase.

I had no idea about this. I just bought a new macbook last week because my old one is ancient. Regardless of Cornell's policy, the New York State Bar does not allow them. Fantastic.

Also, if you are buying a new Mac, check out Cornell Store - they have a decent deal.

do we get our sections and class schedules at orientation? i was talking to my friend who is going to university of houston law and his class already got schedules, sections, and textbook lists.

Is anyone registering for the optional mock class? I assume it's probably helpful and was planning on it, but wasn't sure if people found taking on the extra work to be unnecessary in the past.
