I found something saying that the tuition for the "Executive LLM program in Chicago" is $62,306 for 2017, but I haven't seen anything regarding JD rates.

EDIT: The previous tuition for that program was $60,492, so it went up by 3.0%. If the JD tuition also goes up by 3.0%, it will become $61,337.

Source for new Executive LLM rate: http://www.law.northwestern.edu/academi ... o/tuition/
Source for old (2016-2017) Executive LLM rates + old JD rate: http://www.chicagofinancialaid.northwes ... aw.html#jd

Apologies if this has been answered already but 33 pages is a lot. Does anyone know if the gym membership gets you into all of the fitness formula locations and if it includes group classes? Do any locals know if it's worth keeping a car that's been paid for? coming from Seattle and its pretty easy to keep a car without moving it around all the time or paying for parking. Seems like living close to a red line stop is the way to go. Any areas to the north to avoids?

I am not certain of which gym membership you are asking of. However, when I did the tour someone asked if "NU Law students had access to a gym" the student giving the tour said that they used to have a membership with a nearby gym, but that they are switching to another gym. I am not certain if the membership you are asking of is the new one or the old one.

Yes, and also it was 100% of what was promised - no like fees/deductions/etc.

Just called the people who handle all of this, and (A) NU Law students can use the FCC benefits - it is $156 for the whole year and (B) we can pick any "home club" that we want. I did not ask if we could switch the home club although, in hindsight, I wish I had.

Seeing as what we get is a "discounted membership", I imagine that one should be afforded all the same benefits, like group classes, as a regular membership, unless they have tiers. It could be the case that they see a discounted membership as a lower tier or something and do not let you use those extra benefits.

I do apologize if this has been answered but are there any deadlines of which we should be mindful this summer?

When does financial aid drop into bank accounts? I'm just curious so I know how much money I need for the first few weeks.

I saw that as well. Looks like it is $61,782 for 2017 year.

Question for anybody who may know - which loan type (Grad PLUS or Unsub Stafford) is generally considered more favorable? I.e., which is the one a person should take out the most of if given the option?

I'm not even sure if you're allowed to take out grad plus until you hit the max unsub b.c it wouldn't make sense. the school's fin aid office'll do you right here.

Same. I went to a very small college, and while I'm sure the registrar can get things sent over the summer, I know it'll be easier for everyone if I could get it done now.
Yeah trying to get things done over the summer is not about to be easy for me. I'm going to put asking about this on my to-do list. They're pretty responsive to emails, I wonder if finaid is the right way to go or admissions?
well let me know if you find out! I'd probably e-mail admissions, but I'm not going to.
You are supposed to send your final transcript to LSAC for inclusion in your CAS report. Hope that helps!

I think someone posted it before, but any tips on where to start looking for places to live? Never lived in a city, never really got an apartment to begin with. Was hoping to move in mid august.

Seems like most apartments say "available now" so probably too early for an August move-in. My go-to resources are padmapper.com and apartments.com and I'm looking at places near the red line north of Pritzker
