University of Houston - Class of 2019

Post by TexasHays » Wed Apr 20, 2016 10:13 am

Thought I would start this since we have quite a few in the Acceptance thread so this is for those of us who have already decided to attend.

Hey everyone!

Not really related to the law school directly, but do you use the gym/fitness center at UH?

I currently use my employer's gym which is amazing and I really don't want to have to fork up money for Planet Fitness or something similar. I'm hoping the UH gym is nice? And if you do use it, most importantly, are there rowing machines?

Good to know on the gym. I think I've seen UH's student gym once before.

Anything's got to be better than A&M's, they've been behind on renovations for a year now and the place is a mess

Just got an email from UH with dates. Does anyone know what the Professionalism Dinner and the Service Projects are?

Professionalism dinner is just a dinner with faculty and some guest speakers. Good place to start meeting your section mates.

Last year the service projects were a food bank, the back to school bash, helping the NAACP, and a few other things. You get to pick which one you want to do.

Just curious, where did everybody decide to live? I will be in the Midtown area. Moving Tuesday and pretty excited.

Museum District for me. Which is awesome, because until my fiancee finds a job and moves down, I won't have a car. Go public transportation!
