Lol I haven't checked TLS in a little while! But I voted for section three because it forces me to have a solid minimum amount of library hours. I'm cool with any of the sections though- don't wanna get my hopes up for something totally out of my control
I thought that some people might pick S3 for that reason. It really does set you up to be at the school longer than the other sections.
On another note, did all of you get the email from the school reference the Prep-Law class by Barbri?
The one from Noemar? Yeah, I got it yesterday. Any of you gonna do it?
I'm passing on it, but only because I already contracted with another company to do a pre-law class. Plus you have to apply for the scholarship etc.
I applied for the scholarship. If I don't get it, I may do a cheaper prep course. Anyone have an opinion on prep course vs just reading solo?

Anyone go the route of trying to find a 1/1 near the law school or campus in general? I've been looking for the past couple days but there has been slim pickings.
P.S team section 2 forsure.

Everyone I talked to at ASD recommended Cazabella, but I don't know if they're going to be full at this point or not.
I put my deposit for a 1/1 in Hawaiian Village but that was back in February. There are 5 apartment complexes pretty much next to each other, within walking distance to the law school: Cazabella, Point West, Village 34, Camelot, and Hawaiian Village. I also looked into grad housing but they don't allow pets so that got crossed off my list.

If you guys are still looking for places to stay, I would recommend also looking at houses on university just a short walk away from Levin. A lot of them have gone up for rent recently although it may be harder to do for people who are not in Gainesville already.

The Office of Admissions and the Office of Student Affairs have decided to accept your $200 ILSP fee as your final commitment to enroll in UF Law’s Class of 2019. So long as you pay your $200 ILSP fee between June 1 and June 15, 2016, your seat in the fall 2016 entering class is secure. This means you do not need to pay the $500 second payment referenced on your enrollment form.
The $200 ILSP fee can be paid online between June 1 and June 15. Look for a detailed email from the Office of Student Affairs in late May with additional details about the ILSP program and a link to register and pay the fee.
Man am I glad about that, between the money I have to put upfront for the insurance and the $200 ILSP deposit and the $500 seat deposit I was beginning to wonder how the fuck I was going to eat for the month of July, lol. Maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but yeah, I'm glad they've reduced the deposit from $900 to $400. Also, who else got a little excited when they saw the email notification with UF in the title?!?

Private Practice most likely for me. I'm not 100% sure exactly what I want to do. I have a good idea of what I *THINK* I'll like, but I suppose I'll find out more when I get into classes/internship.

I'm interested in human rights law. I hope to intern at the International Criminal Court while in law school. UF's exchange program in the Netherlands seems pretty great, too.

Yeah, I work with a bunch of prosecutors, I'll pass on that. Job security is pretty solid, but it's government work and it's terrible pay for most of them.

Aiming for federal public defender or something in the DOJ after a federal clerkship if all goes well.

Welp, I bought a backpack today. Northface Surge. I felt like I was 12 yrs old trying on backpacks.
More on topic, can someone who goes to the college speak to the culture around the college with respect to the SJW movement? Is there a lot of that happening there at UF? I know Gainesville tends to be farther left of center than most of the areas surrounding it, and I'm curious as to the attitudes regarding this movement there. Are there safe spaces and protests happening on the reg there or is UF's population less interested in that?

And yes, there is the occasional stump speech but most people are concerned more with studying.
