On-Campus Housing
  • If you're interested in on-campus housing that's very close to the law school (literally 1 minute walk), check out 13 South (males only, though)

Wow thanks for making this. Not gonna lie, going in Cornell wasn't a top choice for me. However the more I do research/talk to people/think about it, the more attractive of a choice it becomes...also the scholarship they gave me doesn't hurt either haha  .

Checking in as well. I recall some discussion in the applicants thread about anxiety related to moving to Ithaca with s/o. That's definitely my largest concern at the moment.

Anyone else notice the "moral obligation" to repay their scholarship if possible at the bottom of their scholarship note. I'm all about alumni paying it forward and all, but man that's blunt.

Checking in! Cornell has given me the most aid out of all my choices, but I also have the fear that my SO will be unemployed and bored for 3 years

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they've had that line in there since back in the day when tuition was low and scholarships were rare. No idea why they don't realize how weird that looks.

Added a couple of links to the OP about S/O employment. Of the few people I know who brought their S/Os to live with them in Ithaca, I know one got a job as a teacher and another got some research assistant position with a prof in the University.

Pretty much how I ended up here. Don't regret it. Feel free to PM if you want a 3L perspective.

Took me about a week and a half from faxing the forms, but I submitted my Need Access well before that.

If you must ask, you'll never know.

Does anyone know the average time it takes for a decision on the travel subsidy for admitted student days?
