Re: NYU Law Class of 2019
Hey guys. Quick question. I received an email from financial aid saying my award and loans are ready to be accepted. On the NYU Albert page, my scholarship (25k a year) is not showing up, instead there are loans that cover the full COA. Anyone have a similar issue? Is this normal? Thanks in advance.

Did you remember to submit your taxes to them?username8112 wrote:Hey guys. Quick question. I received an email from financial aid saying my award and loans are ready to be accepted. I was actually accepted a couple of weeks ago from waitlist. I did not receive any notification to send taxes. I have filed fafsa and need access. Is this different than sending them my taxes?

For regular admits we had to submit tax returns plus w2s by 5/15 in order for awards to be finalized. I would email them.username8112 wrote:I was actually accepted a couple of weeks ago from waitlist. I did not receive any notification to send taxes. I have filed fafsa and need access. Thanks. Where did you send your returns? Did you email them to financial aid or was there specific portal you uploaded to. Also did you get an email saying this was needed?Applesauce11 wrote:For regular admits we had to submit tax returns plus w2s by 5/15 in order for awards to be finalized. I emailed directly and got a confirmation the next day. I think my award letter said it was needed- I would check yours since I would imagine you have a different due date.username8112 wrote:Thanks. It might also be that since you're a recent admit they might not have gotten around to updating your award status yet. From my interactions with the office they have been very helpful and quick to respond, so I would definitely call or email.

I just sent them an email with the documents attached. I hope that resolves the issue. I just re-read my award letter and the 5/15 deadline is on there.Applesauce11 wrote:I emailed directly and got a confirmation the next day. I hope things work out! Seems weird that you would have the same deadline.username8112 wrote:I just sent them an email with the documents attached. I hope that resolves the issue. I wouldn't worry too much. I definitely got mine to them after the 5/15 deadline and there were no issues.username8112 wrote:I just sent them an email with the documents attached. I'm not seeing my classes. Where do you find them?
*I don't have anything under class schedule yet :/ Did y'all complete the immunization form thing already? That is the only thing I haven't done, besides the final enrollment which isn't available yet? Maybe they are putting schedules up sections at a time.

Log into Albert and then go to student center- should be right at the top.Generally wrote:I'm not seeing my classes. Where do you find them?

My doctor sent my form in but only last week and I haven't gotten confirmation yet so I don't think that is it.

Re: NYU Law Class of 2019
Congrats on receiving your schedules!
Just to be clear, your Lawyering Section Number will NOT match up with your substantive class Section Number. So if you want to know what section you're in, it's important to look at the substantive class assignments, not the Lawyering section assignment.
That said, Lawyering assignment tends to go in a predictable order...i.e., Lawyering Sections 1,2,3 make up the larger Section 1, Lawyering 4,5,6, make up larger Section 2, etc.
ETA: i'm a rising 2l, feel free to ask questions and i'll try my best to answer!

Also section 5 for lawyering! When does everybody plan on flying in? I wonder if it's worth flying in early to explore the city and figure out where the grocery markets/cheap food joints are.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
