Just gave my notice! My manager face was all grim on the video chat when I told her I had some news, but when I finished getting it all out she said, "Oh, I'm just glad you're not leaving me for another company!" So yeah. The 29th is my last day! 28 more workdays!

ew is it really 28? do u work weekends? 29th is my last day too and totally thought it was less than 28.... but I dont count the days so bleh

Yesterday's game was as fast-paced because of the lack of defense. I actually prefer games that are played defensively, with each team deploying tactics that try to break down the other's defense (when it's NOT my team playing). In this case, I would be completely satisfied if Germany dismantles Italy the way they dismantled Brasil in the 2014 World Cup.

I don't really know how I feel about it all. I don't know if I've seen a worse penalty shootout in my lifetime. I thought Italy showed moments of brilliance, but neither team could get any good shots on goal. The closest chance for Germany came off of Chiellini's foot, and I don't think Italy had any really strong shots on goal.

At least now I will feel no internal conflict as I cheer on Wales to the final

It was Germany's game to win. If it weren't for Boateng's lapse of judgment (USED to be a top contender for the Germany MVP), that match would have ended within regulation. Those PKs were awful. Mueller still can't score in the Euro, Ozil misses a SECOND PK, and Schweinsteiger forgets how to kick... Sigh.

29'ther here trying to plot putting in my notice this week. I work in a bullpen-type department where everything is open so I'm kind of dreading the "Hey can we go talk somewhere in private" opener I'll have to give my supervisor at some point before Friday.
