I'm considering that one too. Was wondering when everyone else was planning to attend ASW.
That is a good question - Maybe we can track which ASW everyone's planning to attend at this point? I think it might be nice to throw together a quick Google Doc or something so we can see who's thinking of going to which... I can do that if no one objects?? :)
Or just keep track of it in the OP - including who's still flexible.
Sounds like a good idea to me. I'd love to meet whoever is at the same ASW.

OK so how about I just make a public doc that everyone can edit, and we can put the link in the OP? This way bobcat won't have as much work, and people can also edit on their own if plans change etc.

Thanx for putting me in lol.

Can you also put some polls for which bar to meet up in?

Just added the Google Doc to the OP under the ASW header. Thanks for putting it together, Timantha!

Another question -- does Harvard offer accommodations with current students for ASW? I want to book my flight before prices go up, and I haven't received the email address/log in info to see their suggestions on the HLS website.

Also, can anyone tell me the start/end times for April 16 and 17? Much appreciated!

If anyone knows any good bars, feel free to also put it on the spreadsheet - I added a "bar suggestions" column. There's a bunch of restaurants/bars listed on the HLS website actually: http://hls.harvard.edu/dept/dos/dining-options/, but I have no idea which ones are good!

They do not. They have their own separate app that opens in late February. They do require FAFSA, though.

It just arrived in the mail today. I think it probably just depends on which prof's you get, since they seem to align the subject matter with your individual interests. I'm sure you all will have some new reading coming your way soon!

I personally got this book: http://yalebooks.com/book/9780300172621/home-law
The book was signed by the author (Harvard prof) with a short message. Judging from the message, different professors send you different books depending on who you are.
I'm Korean and expressed interest in public interest law; they gave me a book on domestic violence and civil rights written by a Korean professor.

Mine was published by UChicago. I think academic publishing is a spread-the-wealth-around type situation

I got mine today. Totally impressed by it, but I'm a sucker for the little things like this (and the Harvard.edu email). Always thought I wouldn't be swayed by the small things, but again, I'm a sucker haha.

For those who have received books, when did you guys get admitted? Have you also enrolled already, or is that not necessary to be eligible for a book? :D
