Where did you end up?

Georgetown. DC is the center of everything in the country that matters, so of course I'm going to the best school in DC. Also, have you SEEN the student rec center?!

George Washington. Georgetown is great, but G-Dub is in Foggy Bottom and I'd like to eat at ShopHouse as often as humanly possible.

Vanderbilt. Georgetown is too big, and I need to live in a city with actual barbecue.

UCLA. I don't understand why people would voluntarily go to law school somewhere that has winter.

Cornell. I want all of the prestige of Georgetown, but without all of that pesky cosmopolitan culture.

Northwestern. I needed a school that was more business-minded, and also one that has buildings that don't remind me of the USSR.

UVA. DC is great and all, but why live in DC when I can pay cost of living in Charlottesville for three years?

Not sure every school is quite as good at it...After all, there is only one Andy. 8)
I was not impressed with Dean Cornblatt. He diminished the personalization of the videos by complaining about how many names he had to say. Now you know that if you have a common name, your video was to you and several others.
That was an easy presumption from the get-go when you receive a link to an unlisted video with multiple views that aren't you. But even so, he still took like 2 hours out of a day to make 600+ 10 second videos for every first name of an applicant, on top of a personalized note on the acceptance letter...I haven't gotten anywhere near that level of personal touch from any other Dean of Admissions.
+1. Considering the enormous volume of apps at G'town, the personalized note was a nice touch.
+1, the note was about a very short tangent during my alumni interview, which I was just floored by. I do wish that I had gotten a video with my name correct instead of the very common mispronunciation of my name :( , but it was still cool!

My note was about my alumni interview as well -- it definitely seems like those played a sizable roll in pushing us splitters over the threshold from wl/hold/reject to accept if it's what Andy chose to write about.

So has it been determined that every admitted applicant got a video?

Everyone who was admitted prior to the videos going out on 1/20 was sent one...not sure if they are doing additional rounds of videos being sent out for applicants since then.

Did you read all of the bios? That list includes a lawyer who was a Medal of Honor recipient who went on to be Chief Justice of SCOTUS and later the Pope.

But yeah, Charlie is the best. :D

I did, but hold by my statement. I may be biased by the fact that I don't have enough fingers to count how many times I have watched the entire series in my life...but that is neither here nor there. TWW is love, TWW is life. RIP Mrs. Landingham.

Three important questions.

1. Favorite episode/arc?
2. Favorite guest actor?
3. Amy or Donna?

Anyone who doesn't say "Two Cathedrals" is lying to you...but as a general story arc "In the Shadow of Two Gunmen" Parts 1 and 2 are a close second.
2. Favorite guest actor?
That is a tough one. Nick Offerman is definitely up there, if for nothing more than the absurdity of his character's role. Being an NCIS fan I am also a sucker for Mark Harmon's stint as a secret service agent...but one could easily go on and on with all of the great guest actors who popped in throughout the series.
3. Amy or Donna?
Donna without a doubt. I don't know who runs them, but the Donna and Josh twitter accounts are one of the best things on the internet.

Solid choices all around.

For me, it's (1) a tie between Two Cathedrals and The Supremes (Glenn Close and William Fichtner are phenomenal), (2) I will always love Oliver Platt and John Goodman, they were both perfect, and (3) based purely on interactions during the run of the show, I pick Amy. The twitter accounts are great, but the Donna of the show never meshed with Josh in the way that Amy did.

But yeah, I've seen West Wing way too many times all the way through. If I end up at Georgetown I'll probably be quoting it all the damn time.

Final question: who in the main cast would you want to be?

I think I'd have to go with Leo.

Edit: CJ is a close second though...I'd love to be able to do the Jackal

I'm sorry the correct answer was Sam Seaborn.

Well if I was actually becoming the actor who played any of the main cast, Rob Lowe is the obvious choice...the man never ages. But we can agree to disagree on characters 8)

The new poll question is the most difficult question I've encountered since the LSAT

Josh would be lost without the women in his life.

So...rewatching the series for the millionth time is totally productive preparation for law school, right?

I mean they discuss case law occasionally, and the whole thing is mired in constitutional issues. I've been thinking about doing a West Wing podcast like Kumail Nanjiani's The X-Files Files, but I know I wouldn't finish it before 1L starts up. And also I don't have famous comedian friends or a theme song.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
