Where did you end up?

Georgetown. DC is the center of everything in the country that matters, so of course I'm going to the best school in DC. Also, have you SEEN the student rec center?!

UT. Texas is the center of everything in the country that matters, so of course I'm going to the best school in Texas.

George Washington. Georgetown is great, but G-Dub is in Foggy Bottom and I'd like to eat at ShopHouse as often as humanly possible.

Vanderbilt. Georgetown is too big, and I need to live in a city with actual barbecue.

UCLA. I don't understand why people would voluntarily go to law school somewhere that has winter.

Cornell. I want all of the prestige of Georgetown, but without all of that pesky cosmopolitan culture.

Northwestern. I needed a school that was more business-minded, and also one that has buildings that don't remind me of the USSR.

UVA. DC is great and all, but why live in DC when I can pay cost of living in Charlottesville for three years?

Heard back about my third request for merit aid, and still no offer. I'll be withdrawing later today, hopefully someone on the waitlist is willing to pay sticker.

Sorry to hear that, man. At least you still have great options though. Do you know if you're headed to UT or Vandy yet?

Thanks! Still waiting to hear back from UT about renegotiation, so might be a week or two. Even though I'm sad that I won't be going to Georgetown, since it's the only law school I ever thought about attending growing up, it's nice to have it narrowed down to just two schools after all this.

Also, does someone want to take over as OP of this thread? I'm happy to say that it took six months for Harvard to overtake us as the most prolific c/o '19 thread, but now that I've withdrawn and they've passed us I feel like the person running the thread should probably be a bona fide future Hoya Lawya.

Trying to fill out the Blue Form. Does anyone know how many credits a 1L takes in the fall and spring semesters? I can't find that anywhere (why would I, 1Ls just take the classes they're told to). And the registrar and financial aid offices are closed today - go figure.

Thanks!

I just put 15. I don't think it terribly matters since schedules aren't finalized and anything between 12 and 15 is F/T.

I know there's a first year schedule kicking around one of the GULC websites for 2015-2016 but I can never find it when I'm looking for it. Also, does anyone know when we get our section assignments?

Hey all! Excited to see you guys on campus soon :D
does anyone know anything about loan disbursements for our first semester? I haven't been able to find any specific answers on their website.

Based on last year's thread, it looks like people who will be taking out COL loans have to request a refund through MyAccess around orientation week in order to get the $$$. It then takes a few days to get the money deposited in to your account. Not sure how I will be affording the move-in fees to my apartment on August 20 if they won't kick in by that time, but it'll all work out somehow I guess.

Hopefully someone who is a current student can chime in and confirm.
Awesome thanks for the info! Yeah - it's definitely making my early move in tricky too.

Just to confirm, after the blue form, there is nothing we should click on myaccess to accept the loan awards right? There is an accept offer tab but I see nothing on it to click.

I did mine a couple of weeks back because I needed to get an updated booster and wanted to make sure the apt time would be early enough. The actual filling out of the form and faxing it is very quick and easy though if you have no need for updated shots. A nurse can fill it out since it says healthcare provider and not physician so that makes things much easier.

Nah, I emailed them to confirm this last week and they said the blue form is all you need for now. We won't be able to accept the award on MyAccess until later this summer.
There's also a list of satisfied vs unsatisfied requirements fwiw. There are some other things like signing the MPN and completing the entrance counseling through the gov website that are required to accept. Once I had completed all the requirements, my loans updated automatically to status "accept"

Ton of people show up to orientation without having done it and turned them in. You will slow things down a ton if you wait till then but you'll be fine.
