Officially sent in my deposit this morning... There's still a part of me pinching myself in disbelief. It's that same part of me that keeps checking my phone waiting for the call from New Haven where they're all like "LOL who are you and how did you get ahold of all these admissions forms?"

Hahaha Jets. When Craig called this weekend I asked "Am I dreaming?" And Asha yelled from the background "No! It's true!" It was magical.

Excited to meet some of you today!

Hope all you guys have a good time meeting one another and at the admitted students' weekend. Wish I could be there with you. I did try to reach out to some of the other admits on the facebook group congratulating them and so I could meet some of our classmates. Check your other folders to see if my message is in there. If not, just shoot me a PM and I'll link you. Always good to make new friends.

Also, out of curiosity how are people going about finding roommates/housing for next year? I know there is a spreadsheet but are people taking any other approaches?

Does anyone know how much the maximum financial aid at Yale would be?

I'm not 100% sure, but my understanding is that their calculation goes as such:

Student budget - your contribution (you + your parents, if applicable) - Unit loans (~44k this year) = need based grant.

So, if you want to figure out the max possible, just subtract the unit loan everyone has to take out from the student budget. Both of these numbers can I be found online. I think the result will be something around ~40k

I just received important information from someone in the admissions office -- THAT THEY ARE NOT SENDING SNUGGIES THIS YEAR. Is that true?! Haven't a bunch of you gotten one?
