We received a wedding invite the other day addressed to Dr. & Mrs. Bvest. That said, (1) Mrs. Bvest (also an attorney) has as much (or as little) claim to "Dr." as I do, and (2) it's a friend of hers who I'm pretty sure thinks I'm an actual physician.Hand wrote:It'll be you and no one else who'll call you "doctor" on the basis of a J.D.Dr. Nefario wrote:1/2way to calling myself doctor.
In other news, word on the street is that Gray booked one of her classes this semester. Way to 2LOL, Gray!

Was only kidding. Would only claim to be a doctor around mom to frustrate her since she's getting a real doctorate....but would that make me Dr. Dr. Nefario?BVest wrote:We received a wedding invite the other day addressed to Dr. & Mrs. Bvest. I swear it was an accident.
The closest I will come to booking a course this semester is that I have a professor who would like to throw a case book at me in frustration.

Two exams left too. I'm currently alternating between sleep-deprivation-induced apathy and pure panic, which would be entertaining if it weren't so horrible.EncyclopediaOrange wrote:Two exams and 27.5 hours left. The apathy is real.

But how would you know that you got the highest grade? And how would others in the class know? Is it posted somewhere? Do they do this at a lot of schools?RCSOB657 wrote:thbretby wrote:What does "booking" a class mean? I don't know how common the practice is, but there is some variation. Some schools have little scholarship type awards. It can be a resume line.bretby wrote:But how would you know that you got the highest grade? And how would others in the class know? Is it posted somewhere? Achieving the highest grade.
My school (TTT) has a list of the winners in whatever classes and public recognition at an awards ceremony in spring. It's public. Class gpa is also public, but who has what gpa is not.

Re: 2Little 2Late
Finally done done. Physically and emotionally spent. It was tough getting back into the swing of studying for law exams after my two-year break from school
(B+) Practical skills course - whatever
(A-) Evidence - T/F and M/C. Spent a crazy amount of time frantically flipping through my notes (and my textbook ) and regretting my return to school. I'm still shocked I didn't get a B-.
(???) Clinic - Estimating a B+. My professor didn't particularly care for me.
(???) IP - Estimating a B. Totally phoned it in. Copy and pasted heavily from my outline and my analysis was shitwork at best.

This was definitely the worst set of law school exams I have submitted but OTOH they are DONE and I have eaten ALL the Christmas cookies.

Life with zero responsibilities is incredible. I need to marry into money ASAP, so life can always be this incredible.

Congratulations, Gray! I step away for a week and come back to this exciting news; some things never change Did Auggie give you congratulatory licks?Gray wrote:Thanks guys! The class had a few shorter papers/assignments instead of an exam, and TBH my only goal was finishing each one on time so I was pretty surprised.
If it is old money, you will have loads of responsibility. Keeping the current power structure in place is a difficult job.Hikikomorist wrote:Life with zero responsibilities is incredible. I need to marry into money ASAP, so life can always be this incredible.

No srsly puppy picture please?
ETA: I just had a trump at the dinner table xmas thing go down so a puppy picture would be a totally rad and possibly psychologically necessary thing
