It was the day without immigrants and I nonetheless went to my useless internship where they wouldn't even have noticed if I hadn't shown up. Definitely not the sharpest 2L in the shed.

Seriously, how checked out are you guys? I'm totally out of fucks to give but it seems like most of my friends are still trying to get good grades. It makes me feel like i should be working harder.
However, unlike during 1L, I don't think I'm going to do anything about this feeling

I have no externship do as few nonmandatory things as possible and only am taking classes that interest me. I read because what else would I be doing with my time and because it's not as boring as torts or con law I was but I'm certainly not doing anything beyond reading. I've also noticed the way I pay attention is more like engaging with the class then furiously typing, I hardly take notes anymore and I can still pay attention

Someone could make a lot of money from weary law students if they could invent a machine to somehow filter the BS from the actual class content.LoganCouture wrote:can i sign up to attend only the half of class where the prof teaches the material and not the half where people ask questions they should be going to office hours for

The ones I use probably are too, but I don't have to know that until after the exams. People are the primary source of BS, so simply tuning them out would seem to be an efficient practice.usn26 wrote:Was I supposed to develop that skill? The hard thing for me is to tune back in when the professor starts talking again, after you've gone down some internet rabbit hole when there was a "discussion" in classhaus wrote:People are the primary source of BS, so simply tuning them out would seem to be an efficient practice.usn26 wrote:Was I supposed to develop that skill? I'm *excellent* at tuning out. It's knowing when to tune back in that's challenging.
