Ah ok, right on. Still getting used to this strange new world, where I don't have a contract.This tiny place I work for (~25 employees) definitely pays no severance. Given how regularly people get fired, that'd eat up way to big a chunk of their budget. Anyhow, I do kinda suck at my job, but fortunately not so much they have had security walk me out yet. Trying to keep it that way for another 58 days.

Unemployment comes from gov't though, severance comes from company.

Right. Mostly I'm just disappointed that your comment wasn't a joke about severed hands.

WTF do you do if your company's HR is so incompetent as to not respond to multiple emails requesting information on how to quit and informing them you are quitting in 2 weeks?

Did you already talk to your boss? Normally you would tell your boss and they handle the HR nonsense.

Write a letter of resignation and email it to your boss. CC HR. That'll definitely cover your butt till they get back to you.
