I had the same problem. Try converting to JPG again through a website (google "convert picture to JPG")--it worked for me that way.

Current USC 2L here. I did really well last year (~top5%) and I'd be happy to give anyone advice. I also have all my outlines from last year, which I'll add here when I get a chance.

PM me if you have any questions on classes, culture, etc.

Fight on!

Thanks for the insight,instride91. I'll definitely take advantage of your advice and outlines, especially if we share the same professors.

I've been looking under Library Orientation but I can't seem to find the assignment. Does anyone know specifically where it is?

I don't see it either. I'm not going to look into it until right before orientation though. They'll probably send us an email, or it'll probably be posted on Blackboard.

Looking at the schedule I noticed that section A-E has a civil procedure professor by the sir name, Grossi. She is not listed on the USC faculty page. I believe that she is a Loyola professor that is moonlighting this year at SC (I could be wrong but chances are that there aren't too many other Grossi's that teach first year Civ Pro). This is not uncommon. Last semester a Loyola Constitutional Law Professor, Levitt, taught a 1L Con Law course at USC.
For anyone who is interested in knowing more about Grossi's course I can put you in touch with a Loyola student who has taken her course and I think I have some resources I can dig up on her class (outlines and previous exams).
From what I remember about Grossi she has great law firm contacts which could be helpful for networking. She also has a bit of a heavy accent and is fairly particular in class about how exactly students use language form the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure code book. For this reason it is important to check out a good previous outline on her class. She also has a close relationship with a Civ Pro professor at Loyola named Ides and sometimes uses his exams and a civ pro supplement book that he authored.

Really appreciate it, instride91.

By the way, do your outlines read like the progression of the course? (i.e. does the beginning of your outlines cover the same material as the beginning of the course?)

Most of them do, but not all of them. I tried to organize my outlines in a way that made most sense to me, but that might not work for you. It's always good to make your own outline, but I find it helpful to use someone else's as an example.

i'm so down for the casual, but it should be noted that the inside of the law school is supposed to be freezing like all the time lol not entirely sure that will be a problem since its a million degrees outside, but i thought it might be a fair reminder haha see y'all tomorrow (:
