And does anyone know who / where we send in our final transcript? (Where can I find this information?)
Thanks!

I'm 99.999% sure the deposit money goes towards tuition.

^^ Yeah I know that feeling, I hated withdrawing last month from the one school that I thought I was attending since November. I got over it though, that feeling will go away soon. But I still run into them in other forums.UCLAHopeful2015 wrote:I'm 99.999% sure the deposit money goes towards tuition.

GULC has a lot of my favorite people going! I'm sure you'll like them. I don't know if you do already, but you should post more in Gtown's thread. They are great people.

At the bottom of the CoA table here: http://weblaw.usc.edu/how/jd/finaid/costs.cfmdustybottoms7 wrote:im assuming our deposit money is applied to our tuition, but has anyone seen any specific wording anywhere confirming this?
It has a note that stating that deposit credit will be split evenly between fall/spring semesters.
On a different note, got a better offer from UCLA off the WL and USC refused to match, so looks like I won't be joining you guys anymore. I was really excited for Gould, but it was not meant to be. Thanks everyone ITT for all your help and advice.

UCLA appears to have more WL than any other schools, they must have really missed their targets.

I decided to withdraw from all of my (six) waitlisted schools; I liked how USC's scholarship was guaranteed. I'll definitely be at USC in the fall.
See you all!
(Let's find each other at orientation--pls pm me if you are for sure attending. I'm also down if you want to review a bar before then.)

USC Tip:
When you are a USC 1L your upperclassmen will make a big deal when APALSA (an Asian American law school Identity group) releases its outlines to all Trojan 1Ls. The outlines are 'all the rave' because of their detail and the high grades that several of the outlines' authors received in respective courses. While I would advise that you construct your own outlines depending on the type of learner you are, it makes sense to review the efforts of those who have come before you so that you can learn from their mistakes or pick up on skills from someone with more experience.
Unfortunately, APALSA does not release its outlines until late in the semester and at that time gives them to everyone. The benefit of having the APALSA outlines now is that once you find out who your professors are you can review the outlines and have a better idea of how your specific professor will teach the law (every law professor teaches the law with their own emphasis on policy concerns). This will benefit your preparing for class and your own outlining every week because you will have a helpful source to reference. Basically having an APALSA outline this early in the game gives you an advantage.
If you would like the zip drive of the USC APALSA outlines just shoot me a PM. If you have other questions about SC I may be able to answer them as well.

Hey. Yes, I had a few questions.Shema wrote:If you have other questions about SC I may be able to answer them as well.
- Can I ask if 1Ls have to mass mail to NYC firms or if they can target only LA firms?
Thanks in advance.

Re: USC (Gould) c/o 2018
December 1st, under the ABA rules, is the earliest 1Ls can contact firms and Judges for summer employment. It is a good idea to draft at least your resume now because it is around this same time that you will be bogged down with finals so you want to have as much of this already completed as possible.LawsRUs wrote:Hey. You can reach out to firms anywhere. However, most of your USC alum network will be in LA. Since you will not have grades the responses you get will have most to do with your connections and the legal market at that time.

I know that I'm two weeks late, but in the admitted students' portal, you can submit final transcripts from the Enrollment Checklists tab.LawsRUs wrote:^^ Also interested in db7's question.

I had to go to my settings and enable all pop-ups and cookies. It worked for me after that.LawsRUs wrote:Down for me as well.dustybottoms7 wrote:is anyone else having trouble accessing the financial aid portal through the admitted students' portal? keeps popping up as url not found, 404 error
