Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
I would saybetween "mostly" and"completely." I really don't do much at this point. At least 2 hours of wasting time on TLS/elsewhere on the internet to each hour of working.
As far as shameful stuff, I just told a client that I couldn't look up her billing history and that I would have to have her agent call her next week. I could see the billing history; I just didn't want to explain it while she argued with me over the phone.
E - Fine, I'll be honest.

Ditto except not wavering on "completely"ILoveYou wrote:I would say between "mostly" and "completely." I really don't do much at this point. At least 2 hours of wasting time on TLS/elsewhere on the internet to each hour of working.
ETA: sometimes I forget I'm supposed to be working while at work

Sitting here at work staring at my "countdown clock" and TLSing. Waiting to figure out if I'll be able to get out of the Air Force on time to make it to law school in August...

Had my only exam of the semester last week. Spent the day before TLSing at work and then not studying. Woke up to start studying an hour before the exam. Spent the entire time on TLS instead.

This seems like a good ratio for me as well.ILoveYou wrote: At least 2 hours of wasting time on TLS/elsewhere on the internet to each hour of working.

It's a real struggle. I wish capstones could write themselves.

Agreed, but then I remember I'm waitlisted with some schools and I could use the GPA boost, or any sort of boost I can manage. School is a bit easier to not have senioritis than work.Nathanael wrote:It's a real struggle. I wish capstones could write themselves.

Checking in.
Same exact situation. How much notice are people giving? On the one hand, my company takes forever to hire anybody, and I'd like to give my boss more time to find a replacement. On the other, I'm afraid that it will be harder hide the fact that IDGAF once everyone knows that I'll be leaving, which would guilt me into being more productive.WhiskeyAndCupcakes wrote:The struggle gets more real every week.
Especially when we are talking about projects that are more than 4 months out. And I'm like, "not there, don't care."
(Boss doesn't know, so I look very interested).

Mine is opening a client's website and our last meeting's notes and just sort of highlighting sentences as if I'm reading key points
I open rando client files on my computer and act like I was updating some info or something. I've pretended to be on the phone a few times, which only works as long as no one looks at their phone and notices none of the lines are in use. But I like to live on the edge.

I've worked continuously since I was 15 years old, weekends and nights in high school and full-time during undergrad.
It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that there is a constant "fuck it" attitude coming from me, and there is nothing I can or will do to stop it.

I recently gave notice. Boss ok'd me staying on till the end of July. Feels good not to have to pretend anymore.suppy183 wrote:Checking in.

That would be an empanada, my friend. If I get off my final waitlist (in a good way), I will host an empanada party in Houston and you're invited.ILoveYou wrote:kanthandleit wrote:I've worked continuously since I was 15 years old, weekends and nights in high school and full-time during undergrad.

I've planned out my leave/sick days so I don't have to work full weeks anymore.

9-5 Senioritis hard as shit. I'm starting to fantasize about bouncing at the end of May, but I don't know if I can afford it. Never been less productive or more restless.
I love my job and my coworkers, but it's time for a change.
