I spoke to the admissions office on Friday. They said they were behind schedule because of the snow but that they met on Friday. Does anyone know if we only find out via snail mail or via email also?secadc11 wrote:Anyone hear scholarship decisions lately?

Looks like we jumped up to No. 8 in US News. Not too shabby.
Edited: Also, looks like now I can post images so I added the banner to the OP.

Re: Duke Law c/o 2018
Finally did my scholly interview after forgetting the time zone difference and missing the first one, and discovering a live wasp in the room immediately before getting the call for the second one. Why does it feel like the big judge in the sky doesn't want me to get money from Duke?
For all that, the interview was the friendliest of any I've done. It was nice coming off the somewhat rigorous Chicago admissions interview to have one that was just a mutually helpful conversation!

Thanks! So hopefully that means they're working through the backup.

So, uh, has anyone tried negotiating? I sent an email about a week back and never got a response. Kind of worried I sent it to the wrong email, tbh.

Has anyone heard back from the scholarship committee lately? I interviewed and submitted NA about a month ago, and I haven't heard anything since. Is this normal or should I follow up? Thanks!

Have you checked your status checker? You can see when the mailing goes out. Fwiw, it took about 5 weeks between my interview and the date on which my info was mailed.PKP319 wrote:Has anyone heard back from the scholarship committee lately? As far as I can tell, pretty much everyone who submitted their information/interviewed within the past month/month and a half hasn't heard anything. Earlier in the thread, someone asked the financial aid office and they said they were way backed up, so you're in good company. I think only one person has heard back recently, and they were international.

I told them I was interested in attending, but I'm still waiting on them to send times and details so I can make sure I have time to check into my hotel and stuff.matlan72 wrote:Hi all! Is anyone thinking about sitting in on a class Thursday before the open house?

Scroll down to Observing a Class. The schedule for next weekend will probably be the same.

Thanks for posting the schedule! I was thinking about sitting in on one in the afternoon... I don't think that this schedule changes either and I'm arriving on Wednesday, so I won't have to worry about check-in and what not.mgschiet wrote:http://law.duke.edu/admis/visit/idissent wrote:I told them I was interested in attending, but I'm still waiting on them to send times and details so I can make sure I have time to check into my hotel and stuff.matlan72 wrote:Hi all! Any early-mid february interviewees still waiting to hear about $$$?
Starting to get annoyed
Edit: I think the promptness of PT set the bar high for duke in my head

Re: Duke Law c/o 2018
Does anyone know how important scholarship interviews are in the review process? I'm trying to schedule one, but the earliest slot is at the very end of March. As far as I know, schollys are given out on a rolling basis, and so I'm considering forgoing the interview for a faster review date. Thoughts?

I think if you forgo the interview, you'd probably wind up leaving money on the table. The interview gives you another opportunity to advocate for yourself, gives them a face to go along with the application, and shows at least a small level of commitment to Duke (which could only work in your favor).hellerskeller wrote:Does anyone know how important scholarship interviews are in the review process?
