The fall schedule is posted. Unless you know your small sections, I'm not sure that it helps any of you yet.Serett wrote:You won't know this until you know your small section, at which point this will be the earliest place with that information. As of now, Fall 2015 isn't up, nor will it likely be until late July or early August, IIRC.ticklemesilly wrote:Anyone have any idea about book lists? I wanted to buy books in advance so I'm not panicking about it the week of orientation...esp since I like to order stuff online.

Last call for fantasy. I've got 10 people (including myself) right now. I'll probably be sending out an email tonight.

Is it possible to return loan money during the semester? Not sure if I should accept all loans now or accept less and borrow when needed...

Anyone having trouble doing the enrollment for health insurance? I don't have an insurance tab under bursar info, and that's where the email says to go.

Yeah, got the email saying they were updating the system, and it would be up this morning. Actually just completed it and had no problems.drarry93 wrote:Checked again and it's up now, thanks tho!Winston1984 wrote:I did send an email, so I'll let you know what they tell me.drarry93 wrote:Yep. Are you guys signing up for 12 month or 9 month leases? I feel like 9 month would be better since I don't have to sublet, but I gotta get a truck and store all my stuff somewhere over the summer
I'd do 12 but not sure how easy it is to find someone for the summer...

You can return money to your loan provider interest fee within some number of days that I remember being close to the end of the semester. However, you still paid the origination fee on it, so you don't want to over-request by too much.: ) wrote:Is it possible to return loan money during the semester? Anyone started having dreams where they come to class totally unprepared, or miss the first day or something?

I was looking at the parking site and it looks like Blue and Green lot permits are available to 1Ls, does anyone know which lot is closer to the law school?/which is better to park in?

Probably similar distance and convenience, but look at the prices.legallybrunette93 wrote:I was looking at the parking site and it looks like Blue and Green lot permits are available to 1Ls, does anyone know which lot is closer to the law school?/which is better to park in?

Thanks @Winston, happy to be here! I have a few questions if anyone can assist:
1) How long did it take you to be accepted into the Facebook group?
2) For those accepted off the WL, when did you hear about scholarships? Thanks in advance. Looking forward to this fall

Don't remember the Facebook group time.. Probably a day or two. I was in off the waitlist, and I received my scholarship offer the day I did my scholarship interview.MadwomanintheAttic wrote:Thanks @Winston, happy to be here! I have a few questions if anyone can assist:

Re: Duke Law c/o 2018
I would email financial aid, or call them directly, and ask for a financial aid interview (the usual process). I imagine they still use the same process, but I was able to speed it up after contacting them directly. I think a 150k offer from Michigan is certainly worth bringing up, yes.terrier27 wrote:Checking in! (kinda surreal)
If you are admitted off the waitlist at this point in the cycle, do you do the full scholarship process or should I just email financial aid and start negotiating? Do you think a 150k offer from Michigan is good enough leverage to get anything at this point?
Also: Congrats!

Re: Duke Law c/o 2018
As someone who got in late last year and had significant offers Michigan/Northwestern, I know that Duke is typically willing to be very generous with its financial aid. Make sure to attach the offer letter from Michigan to whatever email you send to Duke, and write that you are very interested in Duke, money is a concern for you, and you want to know that you have their final offer before you make a decision.terrier27 wrote:Checking in!
