2013 grad. I never lived in the Aston, in fact I think I went there all of once to visit someone who lived there. I'm sure culture depends entirely on who lives there and/or who lives near you, which can really change from year to year. It's kind of regarded as a dorm for K-JD 22 year olds. Seemed like people who lived there liked it perfectly fine.niplomo wrote:Most likely starting at GW in the fall. Can anyone shed some light on the Aston? How is the atmosphere/culture there? Any word on the apartment as a whole? Probably not going to see them until move in day

Re: GW Law School Class of 2018
If anyone has specific questions for me, I finished 1L right at the bottom of Thurgood Marshall (15-35%) and graduated about the same, got no OCI interviews ... was bummed but didn't care because I didn't seriously want biglaw anyway. Now happily gainfully employed as a local prosecutor in Colorado (where I was from and had connections). Lived all three years in a group house in Columbia Heights. Most of my friends were govt/PI oriented, very few did biglaw, finding work was a hustle and a struggle. Two years out most are gainfully employed, most did a whole year of pathways. I got lucky on the employment front, but most people I know had a very stressful year post-grad.dudders wrote:2013 grad. Who else feels like getting FB group going with me? Sent in the deposit weeks ago and am looking at apartments now, so it's fairly set in stone!

There is a Facebook page! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1532103893708732/ -- some of the current students are moderating it, answering questions, etc. Really great conversations and resources.steal wrote:if there isnt already a facebook group, that would be awesome!

Hey everyone,
I'm an admitted student to the class of 2019. Just wondering how many of you had success in negotiating your scholarships? I'd appreciate any insight. Feel free to PM me.
Thanks!
