When your law school isn't HYS, but you still make the front page of ATL.. - Cornell Law Class of 2018.

Also not sure why the girls with bfs are complaining about the 9 and 10s comment. One, it's true like the sky is blue. Two, they have boyfriends. Aren't they satisfied with them that they are up in arms about some stupid comment on TLS?
If you're not smart enough to see why publicly complaining about the lack of good-looking classmates is going to offend said classmates, then I don't think Wachtell is something you need concern yourself with.

What are you talking about? First of all, that's none of your business. Second, you're just throwing around baseless accusations that have little merit. These accusations are furthermore upsetting the school's vibes, man. The whole 2018 group debacle has wrought enough damage. I hope you two aren't the same person.

The people in your section must hate you. Also, it's not incredibly difficult to figure out which section you're in, so you should probably just stop posting while you're ahead.

These are your peers/future colleagues/future clients you're talking about, not some random people you're never going to see again. If you're who I think you are, you don't need to worry about Wachtell; I can personally assure you of that. Just worry about (1) not making enemies during your time here, and (2) not getting too over confident and ending up fucked on the curve. Chill the fuck out dude

Evening Cornellians.

Halloween is upon us. With this holiday, spooky things are rumbling in the nether regions of Cornell Law School society. What spooky things await us?

There were 2 of you all represented. Nothing that interesting that substantively affects your class.

Maybe 2 spring breaks eventually, maybe not.

There was a really...tense/awkward...moment (i thought).

But otherwise nothing really important came out of this meeting. I kinda hope they do another one again though and that more people go.

Definitely tense/awkward/sad, but yea not much that can be done about it.

Cornell Law as an institution is interesting: you have a wide mix of characters. You will definitely find a niche here.

Ithaca is a little boring once it gets cold, since you wouldn't want to visit the natural parks in that weather and there are around five nightclubs that close at 1 AM you can visit.

Any idea on transfer statistics? Cornell doesn't accept many... I think so they don't have to release the GPA info to the 509.... But anyway, do you know transfers that are now at cornell, and if so, do you know their last law school and their GPA??

I know some. Places like Brooklyn, Cardozo, UW-Madison. Never asked them about GPA. I always assume they had to be at least top 20% at their old schools though. It's probably similar to whatever the stats are for other lower T-14s if you can find that.

Can anyone give some last-minute advice on Clermont's Civil pro exam? :D (feel exhausted after three exams……) BTW, when do grades come out? Does lawyering come out a bit early?

Grades typically come out January 5-9. They are all released at the same time, and you can view your grades at studentcenter.cornell.edu.

Re: Clermont's exam, just get some sleep. The curve is pretty generous.

Scoops says the 7th. I'm predicting the 5th or 6th. Hoping for "they lost all the 2L and 3L grades, P/F for everyone."

Not sure how not looking forward to grades = less busy. Unless you're assuming 2LOL is causing gpa to drop and everyone is doing it. The comments will be mixed because some do, some don't. 2L was much busier for me than 1L.

runinthefront is a busy 2L. I am a busy 3L. But we're both on TLS despite having a final tomorrow. Hard to stay motivated after 1L. And overcommitment causes decline in quality.

And that's why I'm not looking forward to grades.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
