Re: Harvard Law School Class of 2018
I mean, they manage a much larger list of thousands of personal emails for admissions, seems like it wouldn't be a huge technical hurdle to keep that rolling until deposits are in, but your point about your email tying into the other offices' systems suggests this procedure is probably the easiest way to do it, if not the most efficient.
All that said, I definitely am excited to get that jd18 address set up haha

The email addresses you get are the ones that you keep when you matriculate (and for your whole life- I have a Teaching Fellow who sends emails from an @jd10 account). If you don't matriculate they are deactivated. Whoever said it was a marketing tool is correct.

Lol my dad asked me if I was dreaming when I first told him - and I definitely was partially convinced that I was hallucinating until I got the emailpsychmusic wrote:Anyone from the 12/15 wave get the acceptance packet yet? I'm glad they at least sent the email the same day, I was legitimately worried someone was playing a prank on me.

I just now realized that the email address they used to send us the congratulations email is a really bad pun.

I got the JS2 on April 1st... until I showed up at Orientation and they had me on the list, I was having nightmares about it being a terribly cruel prank...psychmusic wrote:Anyone from the 12/15 wave get the acceptance packet yet? So are most people here going to the March 7-9 ASW? I know it's early to plan things but I'd love to meet up for drinks that Friday night if anyone is interested!

I'm planning on attending, although I'm waiting to get more information on the stipend when I have my HLS email and can get into the admitted students page, because I think I might qualify, and I'd love to drive instead of fly if that's allowed.lashley wrote:So are most people here going to the March 7-9 ASW? I'm planning on attending the March one as well! But I won't know for sure until I buy plane tickets

Any thoughts on which ASW it makes more sense to attend? Weather in Boston is definitely quite a bit better in mid-April than early March, but I guess the scenery and climate aren't really the selling points, haha.

Oh true I was thinking the march one so I could combine it with NYU's (andmaybeColumbiaifI'mlucky) but the weather will probably be a lot worse Is a lot of it outdoors?LetsGoMets wrote:Any thoughts on which ASW it makes more sense to attend? I went to the April ASW last year, and it beautiful out. The grounds were in rough shape, but we had a few days where it was warm enough to be outside without a coat. Made exploring Cambridge (aka apartment shopping) much more enjoyable.

Thanks, HorseThief. Did you feel like there was anything you missed out on by not going to the first one, or do you think there's no downside to waiting for the warmer weather?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
