No penalty if you withdraw by July 31st. Stated in the contract.

I'll be commuting over 15 miles to campus, so I'm wondering if any current students have advice on parking. Is there any particular advantage to purchasing a yellow versus orange permit? Alternatively, should I consider catching a bus at one of the commuter lots?

You should try to lease a parking spot close to the law school. The Forum apartments are super close (right across from South), and you could post a request on lawopen for one after school starts. If you are willing to walk a few blocks you can probably get cheaper. You can contact buildings or just look on craigslist/lawopen.

How do you access lawopen? I saw that it is like a listserv type thing, but where do I go to actually log onto it/view postings?

It just gets automatically sent to your Umich Gmail account. I think they wait until closer to your class's orientation/start date until they actually enroll you in the listserv... But trust me, you'll know when you're enrolled in it - around the start of fall semester the emails can be a little overwhelming.

Also, if there are any summer starters in this thread that would like advice/outlines or have any questions about Clark's torts exam, feel free to PM me, I had his class last semester and did very well on the final and have some pointers I've picked up that are worth passing down.

Thought I'd post here in case anyone in still looking for an apartment in Ann Arbor. I'm looking for someone to take over my lease for the year, which begins August 15th. It's a spacious "luxury" one bedroom apartment south of campus with some pretty great grounds and amenities. PM me if you're interested.

And to everyone in the this thread: enjoy Ann Arbor! It's a pretty awesome city.

Hey UMich, hope you all are kicking ass this semester!

If any of you have a moment, could you pm me/email me a couple of Starr's past exams? It would be very much appreciated! She taught at UofC last quarter, and her exam is coming up here pretty soon.

Cheers; if I can help with anything in recompense, don't hesitate.

Hey all. Newly admitted transfer here. Any recommendations on housing?

Or any feelings toward the Manhattan Flats? Let me know if I should veer away.
