Can someone get in-state tuition second and third year? Or is the out of state tuition applied for all 3 years?

Michigan is pretty strict on who is in-state. So, no, you really can't. But the upside is the difference between in-state and out of state isn't that big. Last year's numbers showed a whopping $3000 difference per year.

Here's the site about the requirements:http://ro.umich.edu/resreg.php

You can get an okay one bedroom for $700-900 if you're willing to live in the undergrad frat-zone. Nice apartments will run you at least $1100 or so.

Question for anyone who is around Ann Arbor: how's the tap water? I come from the land of minerally well water that's so hard it eats through your water heater every two years. Is tap water drinkable?

Is Lawyers Club available for summer starters? Or where do summer starters stay for the summer months?

Lawyer's club is not open for summer starters, as far as I know. Summer starters have to sublet an apartment.

That's not really how weather in Michigan works.

I don't know why I am stalking this forum during finals, but I feel compelled to respond here.

I biked 95% of the school days this year (rain, snow, sleet, etc) and I live 1.5 miles south of the law school. With an Italian fixie. And I am from California -- suck it 6778628 (jk)

That being said invest in good gloves, patagonia base layer, heavy outer jacket, balaclava, helmet, and be prepared to eat it on snow at least once.

Also, roads are pot-hole ridden and drivers are crazy.

Cost benefit analysis illustrates that the harm greatly outweighs the benefit to biking to class and in doing so you assume the risk, so you really gotta love biking! (i do)

Anyone know how I can get my wife a football ticket so she can sit with me in the law student section?

When tickets become available, you could pay an uninterested student to buy you a slate of tickets. I think you would still have to pay a validation fee for each game (assuming your wife doesn't have a UMID).

You can buy individual student tickets on facebook/from people which would probably be cheaper and then yeah either pay to validate or get an old mcard/borrow a friend's on game day if u want to be sneaky

This thread is making me jealous of y'all. I'm a Michigan Law alum who wishes she could do it all over again. (Although I also love my job).

Does anyone know when we receive official schedules for fall class? I can see that there is a class schedule on the admitted students website but there aren't any section labels so I'm not sure which specific class I will have

Anyone still looking for housing? I have a lower budget (preferably < $700) and found this place:

https://cribspot.com/s/343257210

I thought it'd be cool if a bunch of law students could live together - would anyone be interested? It's a 7 bedroom/2 bath house in Kerrytown a block from Zingerman's. The location is pretty awesome.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
