Re: Michigan Law c/o 2018
All the information I've read so far makes it seem like they're pretty much identical. I'm picking the March one to do back to back preview weekends with another school.rebexness wrote:Speaking of this, does anyone remember/know if there is any reason to choose one over the other (stuff that happens at April vs March?)giantswan wrote:Has anyone pre-registered for a Preview Weekend? The ASW makes all sorts of references to registering online but I have no idea where...
I can probably do either but April is easier bc i'm not fighting for spring break mileage tickets.
Also I e-mailed about registration and it isn't open yet - we will likely be getting an e-mail about it sometime next week.

Congrats on the $$! Did anyone who is also interviewing for the Darrow receive information?

Also - how long did the acceptance package take to deliver? FWIW, I'm international.

I haven't. Could be wrong, but it seems like they would wait until after the Darrow interview to render a scholarship decision either way.pylon wrote:Congrats on the $$! Did anyone who is also interviewing for the Darrow receive information?

Probably setting myself up for extreme disappointment if I am not one of the people who gets an e-mail today but I can't help but be super stoked.

Just got 90k from mich. Above both 75ths.
From the way the email is worded, it sounds like they don't negotiate schollies. Is this true?

I think I remember reading somewhere on TLS that they negotiated with offers from higher ranked schools. Anyway I'd say it's worth it to try regardless, the worse that can happen is they say no.

Yeah I think you get like 1 shot to negotiate, but they aren't haggling with you.

When do people try to negotiate? I was thinking talking to fin aid people directly at ASWrebexness wrote:Yeah I think you get like 1 shot to negotiate, but they aren't haggling with you.

Lol sorry, I didnt mean to sound that way. I'm definitely grateful for the offer, but I'm a poor, and my plan was to negotiate $$ with every school to the death this cycle. I was just under the impression that all initial offers could be upped (unless youre given a full ride).Mack.Hambleton wrote:Lowballed hardpulstar1 wrote:Just got 90k from mich. Above both 75ths.

I already posted somewhere else, but just to be sure everybody knows how great Michigan is:
Dean's Scholarship: 40k per year, the thing is: I FUCKING ED'D !!! Also, being an international student without GPA, I find this amazingly unbelievable!!!
