Do most people try to live in the Lawyers Club? I think I'll send my LC application out this week.

Very seriously considering it, even though I am an old.

Checking in! I'm a fall starter, so I will see you all then (if not at the preview weekend). I'm sending in my LC application today, it looks like a pretty sweet place to live.

theyre pretty expensive for the area. if you're sharing around 500 - 1000, for one bedrooms or lofts 750+

I'm 24, not old, but a few years out. Put in my application for Lawyers Club last week and was given a spot this week. I just can't pass up the benefits of it. I don't have to find housing in a city I don't know, it's 6 hours from home so I can't really visit housing options. I don't have to worry about feeding myself every day during the hectic 1L year, I don't have to travel far to class, and I don't have to worry about having a bad roommate who I met when we moved in together. Priced out it's really not that bad, and as a bonus, it just looks so nice.
Now my only problem is I'm summer start, so I'll have to find housing for that...

If I wasn't going to live with my SO I'd be in the lawyers club fo sho. I'll be bumming around Ann Arbor till classes start after I graduate in a few weeks so I'll prolly start apartment hunting pretty soon. If any out-of-towners want my evaluation of any of the places I look at, I'll be happy to share!

Checking in! Summer starter as well. Michigan is one of my top choices!

I wish I had more of a desire to live in the LC because of the social/convenience aspects, but I just can't imagine paying so much for such a small space (as well as ~$9.75 per meal as quoted on the LC's website). I never lived in a dorm during UG and it's important for me to be able to cook. I'm looking into one bedrooms with washer/dryer included and have found some decent looking options in the $750-$1000 range.

Checking in! Summer starter here!

I'll actually be visiting friends and family in Ann Arbor next week. Is anyone around? Might be kinda cool to meet up!

Glad I'm not the only one! I refuse to stand around and wait for laundry. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Here's where you can buy some sweet MLaw Apparel!

(I will advise that the $12 long sleeve t-shirts feel like $12 long sleeve t-shirts)

Just received an invite to interview for the Darrow, which is exciting, to say the least. The thought of being one of those rare people to graduate law school without any debt is pretty damn compelling.

Does anybody have any sense of the ratio of interview invites to actual scholarships?
