Y'all, this is absolutely ridiculous. If you are mad or frustrated, know that I am too and I'm here with you in solidarity. I recommend that anyone contemplating taking the DC bar now or in the future simply doesn't. This office is woefully incompetent. It needs to be said. There is absolutely no legitimate reason why we should have to wait until close to June - eight weeks before the next test - to get these results.
I'm just at a loss to understand why this state bar is struggling so much with the basics. Returning results in a timely fashion is a basic competency. (This long of a wait basically screws over people who didn't pass and would've taken the July exam.) Responding to inquiries is a basic competency. Announcing release dates -- so people will stop making inquiry calls they have to deal with -- is a basic competency.
Applicants have been complaining about the DC Bar for a long time, not just since last December's federal shutdown. Even after the shutdown, the Bar's staff should have known exactly what their workload is and how to adjust for it. The DC Bar isn't some start-up with wildly fluctuating or unpredictable work demands. People's livelihoods and careers are on the line. This situation is beyond frustrating.
Is the issue that they don't have enough funding for enough staff? (Even though each applicant pays a substantial amount for the privilege of applying, so the increase in the number of applications does come with more funding?) I hope journalists do more reporting on what's happening.
So I emailed COA, and was told like previous posters they'd be up no later than May 24....but they have no date or time to provide, and won't tell me if we'll get notice or warning before the results are posted.
I am such an anxious wreck. What is going on in that office? Even an email saying results might be delayed would have been appreciated???

I've been refreshing this webpage a lot today and just saw this:
https://www.dccourts.gov/court-of-appea ... admissions
5/17/2019 NOTICE TO FEBRUARY 2019 BAR EXAM APPLICANTS
All applicants will receive an email with their pass/fail results by 5:00pm on Monday, May 20, 2019. The scores will follow in separate emails later in the week. The public posting of successful applicants will be posted on the Committee on Admissions webpage on Thursday, May 23, 2019. Upon receiving a certification notice applicants may opt to perform the attorney oath in absentia or may register for a formal ceremony.
The formal swearing in ceremony will be held on July 9, 2019. Instructions will be included with the certification notices sent by email beginning on June 23, 2019, following the 30 day wait period as required by D.C. App. Ct. Rule 46(c) (11). Unsuccessful applicants will receive instructions on the reapplication process with their exam results.

So... do you think there's a chance some will be sent out today, or only sent out Monday?
I know I might be overthinking something silly or small but I am in anxiety mode @_@

Me too. When I saw the update on COA's page I started shaking.
I'm just now calming down.
Every new email I get is a heart palpitation! Ugh.

I mean...perhaps, but I think it was just poor sentence structure (i.e. should have read: "applicants will receive an email with their pass/fail results
on Monday, May 20, 2019 by 5:00pm").

That's what I figured. I'm still somewhat apprehensive since COA hasn't been the most forthcoming or accurate (when November's list was supposed to go up at 5pm but was up at 1pm).

I'm guessing they will send an email sometime in the afternoon...like anytime from 1pm to 5pm. Some of my friends who took DC previously found out in that time frame.

I feel your pain. I'm having chest pains from this whole nightmare of waiting. I disabled my phone notifications and I will check my email later in the afternoon.

I bet they don't send them out until 4:55 because they don't want to deal with the phone calls.

I think there's a good chance that they'll blow past their 5pm deadline today.
The week before the February exam, they had posted a notice on the website (which they have since removed) indicating that they would email admissions tickets by 6pm on February 19. They failed to do this, at least for me. In fact, I did not receive my admissions ticket email until February 21 -- two days later. (Yes, you can imagine the panicked scrambling.)
Today feels eerily and frustratingly similar.

Yes that happened to me as well with the admission ticket in Feb. I am just hoping that we find out today. I don't even care if it's after 5pm. I just want the torture of waiting to be done with.

Has anyone called them or heard anything ? I had a theory that they'd send one group of emails out, then the other.....but I'm trying to predict the unpredictable
