Hey, thanks. I passed the last July TX Bar so I really wanted to avoid taking any chances with this thing, so I purposefully over prepared by taking two months of study every other day (while still working). Used Barbri all the way (as I did for the BAR exam). Took their 3 simulated exams and was scoring around 67% to 70% in the end. The questions on this exam are fairly easier than the MBE, but I think is it a very good "introduction" of what is to come in the real deal.

Hope you all did well :)

Thank you! Yes, I did well in that I passed (all jurisdictions), for which I am very grateful. But post-exam, I immediately realized my preparation was much less than optimal. I am always curious how extremely high performers prepared for various exams. Thanks for sharing your preparation method, as I believe preparation is the primary determinant of success on exams.

I comfortably passed, so that's nice.

I started prepping about a month in advance while working, and took around 10+ practice exams. Only four of those were the full 60 minute tests though. The rest were as low as 15 questions.

So at least this thing is out of the way.

LaShuanMichelle wrote:I feel pretty good. I also failed it a few times because of not studying or studying the day before & doing a practice exam. I always get a score between 65 - 70...

This time I studied for about 2 weeks, a couple of hours 4-5 days a week & I feel pretty good. I took 3 practice exams based on retired questions... I got 46 out of 60, then 43 out of 60 and then 58 out of 60 (but this was pretty much a repeat of the questions in the first 2 exams).

I was reading that if you get 33 - 35 of the questions correct than your scaled score should be around 75.

Based on that I am feeling great.

Wishing everyone the best of luck... I’ll check back in around the first week of May!
Well, I must say I didnt feel as good as my comments above after actually taking the exam... but here’s to matching your feelings with reality... because I scored a 90. Definitely didn't expect that.

So in hindsight, I would say to anyone taking the MPRE, don't blow it off. Give yourself 1-2 hours a day, 4-5 days a week for about 2 weeks. Thats just enough time to review each of the topics and do several practice exams using retired test questions.
