Hi all,
I took and passed the PA bar in Summer 2016. Now, because of life circumstances, I'm taking the NY bar in 2018. PA isn't (at least wasn't when I took it) a UBE state, and NY (now) is. I still have my study books from 2016 (Kaplan), and, obviously the PA-specific stuff won't be transferable, but would my MBE materials from that bar cycle still be useful now when I'm studying for this second bar?
Thanks for any input!

Re: Transferability of MBE to UBE study
Correction: taking Feb 2019 bar (not 2018). Also self-studying without a major prep course, if that's relevant.AnaMariana42 wrote:Hi all,

Re: Transferability of MBE to UBE study
Definitely transferable. The only changes I would be worried about are that of Civ Pro, and there have been no major changes to the FRCP bet when you took the test (7/2016) and now. You'll want UBE specific outlines for wills, Trusts, Corporations, Family Law etc.AnaMariana42 wrote:Correction: taking Feb 2019 bar (not 2018). I took the old NY exam, and then I eventually took the UBE NY exam. It was like night and day - much easier to study for.
