I took the GA bar (not UBE). I did not study non UBE subjects at all since I knew GA essays are MBE heavy and I did not do any essay (including MPT) practice. So I studied a lot less than some of my friends. In the end I ended up with a 148 on the essays.

I would recommend this strategy to people who take GA (or an equivalent state) in the future. Unless you won't be able to handle the stress of not preparing for a portion of the test and wondering if it will screw you over in the end.
